Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

I am not sure if this has happened, while I have the macro option going LT will detect a major, but not pick it up.
Is this problem on just my end? Or has it happened to others as well?

LTXI has a bundle of small quirks with it I have noticed, that need to be worked out.
Yesterday, I found an Elysa's Crystal, and it went to open the corpse to retrieve it... and picked up a Tourmaline Ring instead that was a piece of junk and ignored the rare.
It will also sometimes start looting bodies when I don't even have looting enabled.
It will also at the end of a rebuffing cycle, start my buffs all over again after I just got done buffing, using it. (Wasn't time to rebuff either by it's countdown). I had to get around this by disabling the macro and re-enabling it to start all over again.
It will also not remember what mobs it has vulned sometimes, and keep vulning the same mob over and over, then switch targets and war the others down.
Only reason Im not using ELTank for buffing, is because it will for whatever reason stop buffing me with 7's, and instead switch back to level 6 buffs.

I've been haveing a few problms with Ltx also, it will start changing from Weapon to wand and back again, or will give an error that says something like, Monster is not in data base stopping macro, then it will just heal and not attack anything. not sure if its associated with alt tabbing or not, when I do alt tab is when I have the problems.

Ok....
#1.) Rare looting has been tweaked in the next version.
#2.) Doublecheck that looting is disabled by checking, then unchecking it again slowly and not while the plugin is starting up
#3.) You only have to hit Force Rebuff once, and/or uncheck "Enable Buffing from Start"
#4.) Turn off turbo mode.
--
For weapon to wand, move the critical slider all the way to the left. And the mobs, some of the newer monsters, or monsters spawned just for a live event play hell with the mobs system (or lag) and LT doesn't want to kill them sometimes.
--
To the original question, it may just be lag related. Since you got the text saying "Major Detected" that means LT found the major because it had to ID it, but something got lost between you and the server when it tried to loot. Same thing with rares.. it happens sometimes, it's beyond anyone's control.
Also, don't alt-tab. Using windowed, atleast that's what I'd suggest anyway... god knows what goes on in the background when you alt-tab.
Thanks

I have noticed a problem with Sticky Spot too.. After I set sticky. My guy will go out an kill, then just stand there.. When he aquires a new target he will run to the sticky spot. then run back to where ever the target is. Also.. He somtimes kill a critter run back to sticky turn around and walk back to loot the coprse. Then he stands at the corpse waiting for the next target, gets one. Runs to sticky, then runs to the target.

Actually, it's ok to Alt-Tab IF you have LTxi window closed. It's when it's open that alt-tabbing creates issues.

I dunno, I don't alt-tab.. I play in windowed all the time.
and the sticky spot, that is how sticky spot works (with melees, I guess). I believe it'll chase a monster so far and kill it, it'll walk away to loot, but it won't run back until another target shows up and won't attack til it gets back to the sticky spot. For melees I think it works best if you set your attack range lower so it won't try to wander off by itself to try to kill something... to keep from "rubber banding" back and forth.

I found that distance of 3-4 (what ever unit we use in ac lol) works best for a melee using sticky, otherwise, you have problems exactly described.
Edit: Cr, on a side note, why is Login now required for your site
