Are there known issues with Decal and Wide Screens?

I bought a brand new laptop that has a wide (15.4") screen. It has never had Dual Client on it. I have Net 2.0, Direct X, Decal Alpha 6 (and ran the update utility). I log into game and there is no Decal bar.
I'd just like to know if there are issues with wide screens before I go through a lot of trouble trying to get it running.

Not that I've heard of. I run on a 21" widescreen, with desktop resolution of 1680x1050, and I run in windowed mode, with a widescreen game resolution of just slightly smaller than my desktop, and have never had any issues with Decal.
I'd suggest you check the other posts on this topic of Decal not showing up in game, and follow any steps or suggestions there.

I just installed the same way on my home pc and got the same result. I must have forgotten something.
Back to Decal website to do some reading.

install the latest Decal.
you have an old version which has been disabled (that's why a lot of the components have a red X in them)
The only thing that should have a red X in it is the Version 1 Plugin Surrogate.
