Decal Bar aint showing

Well when ever i turn on Decal and go ig (i got everything new and updated) the bar up top doesint show, it might be because i did remove on some stuff that people told me i dont even need (i forget the names), and even if i reinstall decal the files dont come back that i removed, looking for help, please answer my plea

I'm pretty sure all you need to do with ACDualClient is open it and close it, you don't need to use it to log in if you don't want.
If you're still having problems, post another export so we can be sure that the launcher actually got changed.

i know it says 3 but ignore that
i go to add/remove, i get rid of anythign to do w/ decal and plugins
get rid of any starter upper files, msi i think they call them i may have.
go to program files and remove any files associtated w/ decal or plugins
THEN i do that link, takes maybe 5 seconds? and its done. (number 5 i think)
then i install decal..we are on number 7 now so get that one. i do typical install when it asks. is easier for me.
edit: oh yeah they added stuff to the beginning, so say yes you want that stuff. just to be safe
then you turn it on, and hit update if needed.
then log in and make sure it works bfr you instal any plugins.
anyways thats my recipe for success, i hope it works for you

Why exactly would you delete the Turbine folder?
that's where AC is installed to.... Does AC itself work anymore?
You might need to uninstall AC, delete all AC related folders, then re-install AC again... once AC itself is up and working, then re-install Decal again, making sure you point Decal to the proper AC folder.

you should only have 1 "Asheron's Call" folder, which should be IN the Turbine folder after you re-install.. unless you change the path.
Decal is looking for the Asheron's Call folder.

well.. the problem is that the "Select Folder" comes up on the initial launch of Decal after install...
which would tell me that something else is going wrong.
I'd recommend uninstalling and deleting Decal and Asheron's Call again.
Reboot the computer.
Install Asheron's Call only and make sure that it works.
Follow the "Clean" instructions as pointed out earlier to clean the rest of Decal off of the system
reboot once more for good measure, then re-download and re-install Decal from the site.
Hopefully it will them work properly.

Yep, I already had all my MSi files and Plugins uninstalled so all i uninstalled was ac and Decal than restarted Installed AC it worked, Restarted, Installed Decal, Didint work...
Edit: Btw just to make it clear to you its not that Bar isint showing when i log in game atm, its that when i double click on DEcal the Menu doesint show up, nothing shows up at all, the picture doesint even show up on bottom right of screen where it shows your little program things

perhaps you have corruption in your .NET installation?
I was thinking that the reason it wasn't showing up was possibly due to it already being open or something.. but a restart of the computer should have taken care of that.
If you REALLY want to try, go into your registry and try setting the PortalPath key under Decal\Agent to where AC is installed to.
(the full path is .. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Decal\Agent\PortalPath )

Ah Hah!
I found it I think..
Right click on the DenAgent.exe in your Decal 3.0 folder. Go to properties, click on compatibility. Uncheck "Run this program in compatibility mode" Click apply, and then OK.

nope, and i forgot to say, it could be because of Dual client, cause for some reason after i downloaded dual client i tried to open decal and it didint work, either that or turbine folder i cant remember, But yeah this is getting really confusing, i just wanna open Decal already lol =p

scratch that.
I'm wondering if something isn't set right.
When you install Decal did it ASK you for a path to AC?
If not, then you didn't properly Clean out the previous Decal installation..
If you've done a proper clean, then it should ask you the path to AC on installation of Decal..
What I'm really wondering is if you have a hidden window somewhere that you cannot see... maybe Decal is drawing offscreen, or perhaps it's drawing a window underneith another window.
Maybe clsoe all other applications.. attempt to open Decal and see if it pops up anything in terms of a window anywhere.. it might be a small messagebox, it might be a Folder Select dialog.. something.
My guess is that you have something somewhere and perhaps just can't see it.

If you're getting a Decal icon next to the clock in the Systray, then you have a DenAgent.exe process in Task Manager. (maybe you're on the wrong tab)

If you're getting a Decal bar ingame, then SOMETHING has to be launching Decal.
And ACDualClient won't do it unless it sees that DenAgent is currently running.
As for the hidden window, ALT-TAB wouldn't show it, and it's possible that Task Manager wouldn't show it either... depending on it's draw options and where it's actually drawing the window.
For instance.. the Folder Select dialog does NOT create a new task window which means it doesn't show up in the Taskbar or anything. It's just on your desktop (hopefully).

Ooh.. ok.. I see.. I misread what you said earlier about what the problem was.
a Format wouldn't necessarily hurt anything.. but I'd personally try a lot of other things first.
I'd go through and do another clean uninstall of everything Decal related.. clean out the registry stuff... Delete the Decal 3 folder
I'd also uninstall the .NET 2.0 Framework and then re-install it by downloading it off of Microsoft's site (rather than relying on the Installer to do it from Decal).
Once I was sure everything Decal and .NET 2.0 related was gone, then I'd just as I said above, start with the .NET 2.0 Framework and install it directly from Microsoft.
I'd also take a trip to WindowsUpdate and make sure everything was up to date.
Then reboot and launch nothing. Wait until the computer was fully started, and then install Decal. See what happens.. report errors, etc.

Now this error is popping up, decal is finally responding to me trying to open it, this is the error, "Your AC Client is out of date, if you are using dual log, make sure all directories contain a current cersion, or get latest version from turbine. (Client version=0.0.11.2502 xml version=0.0.11.2741)

Did you actually log into Asheron's Call?
you need to log into the game BEFORE attempting to use Decal... that error is basically saying that the Path that you specified to Asheron's Call contains a REALLY old ACClient.exe version. You need to log into the game to update it, or double check the path that Decal is pointing to and make sure it is correct.

Well i just installed AC on this comp so it makes sense that its saying that its really old since i didint log in yet (its hard with the problem with authorization) and update everything So cheers its probably gonna work on this computer now yay!
