This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least 20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per page).

Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50 topics per page, while others deemed of historical signifigance may be archived in their entirety.

We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

	Maybe it's a dumb idea, but what about making a plugin that could stop the clouds movement? I bet that all that sky continuous movement as well as the going from day to night is affecting our performaces a ton: am i wrong? And would it possible to make such a plugin? Would it be usefull maybe or a waste of time? -----signature-----

	Ouch Thanks for the answer Hazridi Btw i like the cycle too, but i noticed that it's directly related to my video card issues ( ATI GeForce4 256 MB ): once there was the chance to remove the weather effects ( even if never worked ), but since some time ago they removed that possibility Anyhow was worth a try -----signature-----

	Stop the cloud cycle? Remove the weather effects? These kind of numb-minded proposals infuriate me. Let's see what else can I remember - oh yeah: Remove all doors(!), Make night look like day (Oh, Turbine actually listened to the idiots and implemented that one), Give wands a Melee D modifier (sigh)...Remove this spell research, it's too hard...on and on ad infinitum. You know, there are these really neat games that you can run on an old dusty 486 system, called MUD's...I think that is exactly what you are asking for. I LOVED the old nighttime in Dereth when it was BLACK - and even better, back when you couldn't see monsters on radar - that was incrdibly exciting! I miss the rain! Where is the rain? Oh yeah, people complained that it caused lag...have to cater to anyone who whines. Removing all of the original concepts and design features of the game is just part of the long and well-established dumbing down process. Sorry if I sound bitter. All of these changes have changed the player base, driven out 99% of the old gaurd of hardcore, old school players, and replaced the ranks with fresh-faced youths who are very vocal in their ignorance. You know, the under-20 PK types who want instant gratification, can't produce a readable sentence, and have not seen any part of Dereth outside the 3 or 4 max-XP dungeons, the Marketplace, and the PK Arena. 	Hmm no problem there. I'm talking about a game that I enjoy and care about, and that has been a part of my life for what - 5 years now? Hate to see it dissolve into nothingness. If it keeps going this way, here's a preview of Asheron's Call 2009: When you create a character it is 100/100/100/100/100/100, instantly level 275 and has every skill specced and maxed. Dereth consists of only the Marketplace. There is one NPC there who, when you click on him, gives you a complete set of AL 1000 armor and a 10-tinked weapon of every type, including wands. Just drop what you don't want. All textures in the game are simply plain white, floors, walls, ceilings, armor, weapons. 	Actually, wasnt there a "remove weather effects" before? I dun mind the clouds, it's the f'ing lightning thats giving me a head ache. I know turbine had to do a "warning: may cause health problems" kind of thing before when they had lightings down in OP/Dires. 	Hey Chaz, i asked if it was possible to make a plugin to Decal devs, i didn't make this post on Turbine forums. A plugin is something you might use or not upon your own choice, a game change is something that affects all the players: i didn't ask for a change for everybody, just for a possible change for me. If you don't mind your freedom ends where mine starts and vice versa: i can ask for a personal change that will affect me and me only, can i? -----signature-----

What does game performance have to do with spell research,and melee d wands? 2.
