DCS Version 2.0.0.3 released
|
Version 2.0.0.3 is now available for download.
This version fixes 2 bugs:
* bug where DCS would not display in game on some systems
* bug where DCS would stop identifying items when they were selected after changing characters
Please Uninstall any previous version, and delete the \Program Files\WolfWare\DCS directory and it's contents before installing this new version.
You can download this version on the downloads page of my website. All previous versions are no longer supported.

Omg I am so used to relying on DCS daily that I contined to go to id the things for color when I knew it was broken for me. I am thrilled to death to have it back. I use this plug in daily. Thanks again for taking the time to fix it for those of us who had problems.

Question, when I id something I dont get color added to the chat id like it used to do. I can only get a chat id if I open DCS and click on the color block, it will then put in chat item that meet that color. Is there a setting im missing to get color added to regular ids like before?

Do you have the check box next to the 'Text' button checked?
Although, I have noticed that after this patch, certain items don't return the same 'type' or 'category' as they did before. I have also noticed that some items return odd things for thier ID.
For instance, on my mule, I have 8 pairs of Amuli leggings, one of each of the Virindi masks, a Skull helm, and some other random armor/clothing items. One pair of Amuli legs only returns the colors, the virindi masks don't return anything, and the skull help returns what is expected.
I'll have to take a look deeper to see what else changed after the patch, but it is going to be a couple days before I get a chance to dig in (I have to hunt for writs so I don't lose my villas )

Ive tried checking and unchecking whatever I can. Nothing seems to show colors when Id'd, but do show up in the "boxes" in the DCS plugin.

Are you referring to the chat text showing as the same color in the color boxes?
If that is what you are asking about, that is no longer possible due to changes in the AC client and the resulting changes to Decal.
The colors do show up just as text ( Colors (4444-colorname)) or something like that at the end of the ID string in the chat area, but the text color remains the same as the normal plugin chat output.

no not talking about the text actually changing color. I mean text telling you the colors of a item at end of idstring. I don't get that cept when I after iding something, I open DCS and click on one of the boxes of colors showing. Then it will tell me 1 item matched color selected and give me idstring of the item with the color in text appended to end.

is there anything in the errorLog.txt file?
Also, are you referring to finding items that match? Or just when you select/ID something in general?

Select/id things in general.
I did some more testing and found some things that do give me description with colors, but majority of things don't. On the things that don't all I get is a single line saying:
DSC
Thats it just blank after DSC, no description at all. This happens on most armor/clothing/etc I id.

I saw that as well.
Something else may have changed in the messages or something. It is odd that some items return full messages, while others don't return anything but the colors still display in the plugin 'buttons'.
I'll dig into this in the next couple days and get an update out as soon as I can.
Today is out though, I need to spend some time with my kids.
