This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive. ~

Subject:general questions about decal status
i hadnt used any decal since A3 and have just started with the newest release. my question is, why is it still in alpha? it seems to be quite stable and hasnt crashed my system yet. i could see where it might be able to get better speed, but would it be enough to matter? i knew it would take a few months for decal to get back after tod, just never thought it would take this long in alpha.

Plugin views (windows) are currently unacceptable performance hogs and are being overhauled. I don't know the specifics, but the new view system may require significant changes to plugins. I doubt Decal will be out of alpha before the new view system is mostly done.

although i may be wrong, it seems to me that the core components of decal are pretty good. What's left is to overhaul the video system like Digero said. To get better performance.
