This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive. ~

Subject:Sunglasses: a needed plug-in
When in a dungeon, I usually raise the brightness to see where I am going. When I leave the dungeon, everything is too bright, and if it is snow..........forget seeing much of anthing. So I reset......when I go back into dungeon....well, you know the deal. How about a simple plug-in that could operate like the Power-----Accuracy melee bar or even better, the mouse wheel so that you could quickly and easily change the brightness of the screen as you move from dungeon to snow to normal to.....whatever. What do ya think? Can this be done and would anyone besides me think this would be a great little assist?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but what's stopping you from lowering the brightness when you leave the dungeon if you're able to raise it beforehand?

Gdinero, absolutely nothing stops me from changing it back. When you are being attacked by critters that you can hardly see it gets a little hairy. The key is to "quickly and easily" change the settings without clicking buttons and moving sliders. I have found several situations where the contrast is so wacko that you have to stop playing the game to make adjustments in the settings. Previous plug-ins (Let there be light, etc.) were created just to handle these situations.
Portalizer, turning the wheel the wrong way......yep that could happen but you could correct that pretty fast. I hit the wrong button lots of times. You don't "not do" something just because you might make a mistake, it happens.

I would use a decal app that had 3-4 brightness presets.
Its a minor nuisience, but i have to adjust my brightness almost every time i enter/leave a dungeon as well.
