Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Still Crashing with both LifeTankX and ELTank
|
I am still crashing with both plugins, I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling all current versions of everything. I tried just decal and it worked fine. then tried with just decal and eltank and was getting crashes, then tried new lifetank and got more errors than I did from yesterdays update.
Decal: runs fine with no plugins.
Eltank: crash on logout/login somtimes, seems if I wait extra time it doesnt crash as much.
LifetankX: crash when messing with HUDS, runtime 91 errors and other errors messages on logout doesnt crash tho, mouse error on login when I click my mouse. macro tries to shoot instiable eater from the drop start of dungeon...then blacklists instaible eater and then wont attack them anymore. is there a way to remove a blacklist? confused on that i think.
I do not know how to clean my registry. so that has not been an option for me.
saw a link on eltank forums for a decal registry cleaner, the page didnt open right, must be a bad link or somthing is wrong on my end.
I also saw a post where someone said we need RTM download and not .net 2.0 or somthing, I dunno what that was about but I couldnt find any info on "RTM".

ok just ran lifetankx hunting macro without any plugins, these the only errors I could get....
Engine.HandleMouseClick - Object variable or With block variable not set
I couldnt reproduce getting crashed from messing with lifetank HUDs. I assume those are being worked on tho...
Then I logged out that toon and logged in another toon and got this error in a box:
LTEngine
Run-Time error '91':
Object variable or with block variable not set
Press Ok
Also this box after that one.
LTCore
(core)ERROR @ writemessagetofile -automation error
Press Ok
so i pressed ok on them both and got this error:
Press Ok
I pressed ok and.... by this time i have wrote down so many errors it said i have lost connection to server in AC and then crashed to desktop and gives this error:
AcClient.exe - Application error
X The instruction at "0x7c901010" refernced memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read".
Click ok to terminate program
Ok
then just desktop no more errors after that...LOL thanks GOD
here is export after lifetankx crashed from switching toons....

forgot to add that i do have the latest ac dual client installed aswell.
thanks.

well i just uninstalled 5a and installed 5d, decal and eltank seem to work great.
the onlyt time i crash is when i try to switch toons fast, like its gonna give me the (character still in world message) but just crashes instead. other than that it seem good...oh yea the HUD's dont seem to stack ontop of the UI (is that what you call it)...
the crash happens with no error message.

I don’t know why the developers are forcing us in the Beta testing. My old decal was working fine leave me ALONE. If you want to do testing get the stupid volunteers don’t force people in, I have already wasted 2 days on his stupid beta testing without luck. Developer has no clue what is going on. Do they have any testing procedures or they just code, compile and let it fly?

WhiteStormLC,
Start with a Clean Install... get rid of the old and out of date items from your system (Decal wise)...
Make sure the plugins you install are updated for the new decal.
M-n-M1, you were not forced into testing, you chose to download the Alpha code (You chose to join the testing)... feel free to uninstall it as well.

Are you kidding? This *is* the test. All of this is happening so that when decal is released users do not have to go through what you are experiencing now. That is why this is called an "Alpha." And no your old decal does not work fine, the only non-testing versions of decal are pre-TOD and they do not work at all. Your only option if you do not want to be a tester is to wait.
I would suggest you read some of the developer comments about who they expect to participate at this stage and then re-read what you just wrote. Maybe you can figure out why your statements are way off base.

There is a known issue with Character Stats Filter. I'm not sure if it was supposed to have been fixed in 5d but you may want to try disabling that filter.

Just uninstalled decal and eltank, then cleaned decal registry with that link you gave me, tried turning off character stats filter also.
Still crash when switching characters to quickly, other than that it seems to be working great. I think I am running more stable now that I got everything cleaned up. Here is my current export.

Subject:
Still Crashing with both LifeTankX and ELTank
|
Ok just installed and tested lifetank. Didn't work so good....Heh
Got in game....noticed HUDS were not on, went to check them on and when I clicked on one it crashes me. Then got back into game and got all sorts of Errors just like before when I tested a few days ago. (My Test from a day or 2 ago is in this thread also, same errors again)

Im not sure what the problem could be but I'm thinking maybe a graphics issue, I suppose it could be a screwy file but I thought I cleaned everything pretty well. Does lifetank and eltank have registy files as well? If so do those need to be cleaned? Is there a way for the Devs to just include a cleaning of registry files and fully uninstalling any old versions included with the new versions and updates? So then novice users can do this easier...It would make the boards alot less cramped with "help threads", hehe just an observation tho, Thanks for everything!!
