I was born may 8th 1984 in a hospital in toronto called Mount Sinai, 10 days before my mother turned 30. I grew up as a very hyper child, and was diagnosed with Combined type ADHD at a very early age. This, combined with a very curious nature, and I was a real troublemaker as a child J
I went to a religious school until grade 8, and speak 3 languages, including Hebrew. I found this especially useful on the bus, as I take it through a jewish neighborhood all the time and get to listen to the girls talk about me / everyone else. Good times there.. lol
Fond memories from elementary – grade 4 ‘josh’ peed his pants and made ‘lake ontario’ because the teacherwouldn’t let him goto the bathroom for 3 hours – pissing off my history teacher (last period) so badly in grade 7 that she would let me go 45 minutes early and give me perfect marks just to get rid of me.
High school was at a school called Forest Hill in my area, for the first 3 years. I was a huge stoner in those days, as some of you know. I met quite a few good people, including some great friends who I’m still fond of.
This was around the time I got involved in AC. I remember my first day and how exciting it was, running around between rithwic and eastham, but this isn’t an AC history so I’ll leave it at there really (or maybe post one later).
My claim to fame in life occurred in grade 9. Yes this is hard to believe and no I couldn’t do it again, but there’s a police report somewhere to prove it. I was walking home from school one day and I got attacked(?) by 3 guys. The way I remember it is I was walking and they come up behind me and the guy on my left says “gimme all your money†I said no and kept walking, like a stupid kid.. and the guy lit a match and threw it in my face. At this point I realized I was in trouble so I started running but they grabbed at me. I had been taking karate since I was 9 and knew how to react, but I’m still amazed at what I did… beat the crap (broke one guys wrist and kicked the other one hard in the stomach) and ran into some store to call 911. Cops got there might fast.
After grade 11 I got kicked out of school for poor attendance. Even tho I had a 91% average, I didn’t have the required class hours so they told me I had to leave at the end of the year. I had 2 years of high school remaining (Ontario was 5 years), so I went to a private school called metro prep here in Toronto.
I had to take the bus there everyday. It brings up some interesting stories including the time a homeless guy got on the bus and smelt up the damn thing to the point where the driver had to stop and wait for a supervisor to come before he could continue. I’ll never forget that smell K I also had a time when some lady got on the bus before me and pushed me down the stairs. Luckily there were other people waiting to get on or I would’ve been seriously injured. The bus driver insisted on calling the police also.
During that year I also met my first real girlfriend (Lauren) who I dated for almost 2 years. She broke up with me, as I was telling Riko on Saturday, 2 weeks before we were to move in together, and the lease was non transferable etc so I ended up living with her for an entire year, what an uncomfortable experience that was.
I eventually graduated and was accepted into a computer science program at the University of Guelph (where I wanted to go). I did a full year there and decided I would like to try out engineering and made the switch, which I haven’t regretted. So I’m doing a major in software engineering and a minor in cognitive neuropsychology. My interests are in brain development and massive parallel processing systems. During my second (this past) year of college I volunteered as a “orientation volunteer†(they had a rule that you weren’t allowed to (eff) the frosh, and that was largely ignored, lol! I met my current gf that week, the one that some of you met this weekend. Beautiful girl, incredible personality. I heart her! Anyway we do some really obnoxious stuff together, and I have her saying things like ‘irl’ ‘emo’ and ‘diaf’ in real life.
I currently work as a web developer lead for a company called Teranet here in Toronto doing various things, and I find myself bored more often than not. I have a great team to work with though, and we have a good time none the less.
A little bit about my AC history:
I play a sword character named Gfn. I’ve played him since I started playing AC (my first character) in may of 2000, and I haven’t changed him much since (he got life magic when the whole dropping skills thing came out around lvl 140). I was under a monarch Faze on FF, and then Moto Morrashi when he left. Amazing guy, if anyone knows what happened to him please let me know. Eventually I left to join a chain under Ogmosis and met a lot of good friends there as well, including spamna (under Moto I mean). I left ogmosis and became a monarch of the Nudist Colony for the first time. I had armor which used a lot of mana so I was always naked, and Gfn couldn’t buff himself (until very recently actually) so he was a huge gimp I left and joined RoG under Big Wiz and wast here serving on his monarchy council for quite a long time. When I quit I was still under him, but eventually I came back and left to restart the nudist colony. That monarchy became far 2 inactive and we swore under the biggest gimp on FF, Draccopuppies. Good times were had by all.
VN history:
I started reading vn sometime between late 2001 and early 2002. This is definetley not my first posting account. Anyway I trolled on FF a lot from high school and was all excited about the scrolling posts, but even tho it was fast it just wasn’t enough and at some point I migrated over to ACF. I read for a very long time but rarely if ever posted, and eventually got the courage to do so (admittedly, how many people knew about me before I was a mod here?)
I became more interested in the boards, and when Lauren broke up with me I had the free time and applied to become a mod here. I didn’t hear anything for months, and figurd all was lost and eventually got a PM offering me a position for the AC General board. I was surprised and excited, and my mentor (Osmethne) and I were trying to figure out whether I was a mod on FF as well, which was my goal. Found out about that… that same night there was a riot on FF, dt invaded! And I get a msn message from Darshawn asking for help. There’s a lot of mod tools, and its pretty overwhelming your first few days. I had no idea what to do (and I was asleep through most of it lol). I’ve since dealt with many riots, and I currently train new mods as well.
One day they were looking for new mods on ACF and I msg’d one of the VN senior managers (Desi) asking about the position. A few days later it was approved, and that sexy Lyndrek person and I were appointed as new mods here. I don’t think we’re doing THAT bad a job.
I worked my ass off to get to the meeting this weekend and had a lot of fun at the dinner. I wish we could’ve stayed later but we really had to leave. I have awesome pics as well (and we saw some guy tight rope walking across 2 hotels on the way back toe the car. I have pictures that I’ll probably upload tomorrow if I have time.
Hope that’s good for a first post. I’d flesh it out but I need to do some work today

ok really quickly before I get back to work, here's a goofy one, but I'm sure all kids do similar things.
Mom tells me that when I was young I really resisted potty training. One time I had to go pee and when mom told me to go to the bathroom I just pulled down my pants and pee'd on the carpet
ADHD stories.....
I can do a million things at once. For instance I can watch PIP on tv with the sound on both channels, while either reading a book or playing on the computer, and still get distracted. My attention span is about 15 seconds. I gotta do work so I guess I'll post more later...

In the summer between high school and university I worked for a company called MHS (Multi Health Systems) where I worked in QA (basicaly sat on my butt all summer). the company makes / publishes psychological tests of all sorts, so I took quite a few of them.
The point ist hat one of their biggest customers was the FBI. Every once in a while I'd have a few guys in suits and black sunglasses (yes they actually wear this appearntly) walk into my office, sit down beside me and start asking me questions, some of which I chose not to answer. also keep in mind that both I and this company are in Canada.
It was just very interesting having the FBI show up at work, in Canada, to ask you questions you were under no obligation to answer.

ok here's another stupid story.
When I was about 8(?) years old we got our first computer. It was a 486 25mhz with 2mb of ram I think. we later bought an additional 4 MB for $400. that's right, $100 a meg!!
Anyway I'll never forget how excited I was to get that new computer. I wanted to set it up and I remember literally jumping off the couches (ADHD, hyperactivity) when dad brought it home.
So he sets it up, and I remember saying to him "your doing it wrong" or something. Now that I'm older I can understand why my dad didn't listen to me, but anyway he goes to turn it on, there's the a puff of white smoke, and it turns off. After tinkering with it for an hour or 2, with me bugging him the entire time to let me try it, eventually he gives up and says I can give it a try. I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with it (I'll have to ask tonight...) but I bet he'd just fried the power supply...
So he sent it back, and they gave us a new one, and he went to set it up, and got to dosshell (anyone remember that?) and goes "omg there's a LOT of junk on this computer" and starts deleting things. Well if you don't kno what your doing, its only a matter of time until you delete something you need. So he does... and back the computer goes, because we can't figure out how to reinstall the operating system.
Third try he says "ok mike, you can do it" I got it up and running and I *think* I still have that machine at home somewhere, it still runs with the original parts, except we added a coprocessor (biggest gimick of all time) and 4 MB of ram for $400.
