I have only met Sue in RL once, but I consider him and his wife to be friends.
I know he lives in a small town called Cato in the up-state region of New York.
He used to live in California and I think Oregon?
He also used to work for McAffee and for... damn... Acer, I think.
He has two kids and has been married for only a short while, but he has been with his wife for a long time.
He enjoys a fine brew and likes to fish.
So give it up Sue. Give us some dirty details!
Oh I drove by your house twice yesterday. I tried to get my daughter's 2nd grade class to moon you, but the teacher said no for some reason.
Note! Some of the threads have already been pruned from the VNboards system.

I was born on July 6, 1968 as poor white trailer trash in the little town of Cato, NY. My father had just bought a farm w/ complimentary farmhouse and for the first year of my life, I lived in a little trailer on the property with my folks while they remodeled the house.
At 3 years of age my mother finally got a little taste of what she was in for when I climbed the side of my 1 year old sisters crib and flipped it over, sending the poor little thing tumbling through the air and onto the floor. Unfortunately for her, she survived and withstood even harsher torments from me in the future (more on that later). A few weeks after the baby flipping incident I bit the tip of my tongue off while jumping on the bed. I didn't really learn anything from that experience.
Growing up on a dairy farm was loads of fun. I had the priviledge....nay, the pleasure of waking up every morning at the crack of pre-dawn to milk and feed the cows with my dad. Even though I showered every day before school I was still one of those smelly dairy barn kids. Fortunately for me, the whole community was pretty much the same and the non-smelly kids were the ones who were teased and picked on for being lazy loafers.
There were other advantages to working on the farm. I had access to loads of rotten eggs to throw at my sister. Partially dried meadow muffins were also a favorite weapon of choice for sister target practice and the willow tree up on the hill produced the finest whipping sticks man has ever seen. The welts I left on my friends, family and neighbors are testament to just how wild and out of control I was. Another favorite past time of mine was throwing green walnuts at cars as they drove by.
I also had close to 1000 acres of land to just hang out on. We had large forested lots to build forts in (I had dozens), swamps to get lost in, frozen ponds to fall through the ice in (happened twice), hundreds of trails to ride dirt bikes on (broke my ribs twice), hay mows to build hay forts in and plenty of fields to catch snakes and mice in. All in all I had a great childhood (even though I was bitter and whiney about the vast amount of chores I had to do compared to other kids my age).
As I approached my teens my sister finally extracted her revenge for years of abuse and shattered my wrist. I spent an entire summer in a cast and we haven't fought since...LOL. As I got older, my responsibilities on the farm increased and frequently my father relied on my to completely run things so that he could finally take some time off.
I was never very fond of school. I passed all of my tests with perfect scores but never bothered to do my homework (unlesss it was reading...I always read my books). I rationalized this by telling myself that if I knew the material, why should I study it. This rationalization worked for some classes but didn't for others. I was never the hip popular guy in school nor was I ever picked on or teased. Those few that did tease me early on found out that there are reasons you don't pick on big farm boys ...
(There are TONS of GREAT stories to tell from my early teens up to my college and post college days. For the most part, I'll have to leave you wanting or this will end up being a friggin' essay.
On the day of my high school graduation I could be found unloading hay at the farm. Shortly thereafter my father approached me and asked if I would like to join the business with him. He offered me a 50% stake in the farm, we'd double our herd and land and basically just work it out. I broke his heart that day by declining his offer. I had plans. I was going places (prestigous colleges, fancy jobs, big cities).
I did end up going to college. A small community college and I hooked up with my ex-wife in there somewhere. After community college, my dad sold the farm. He kept out house but sold everything else. Due to the sale, I lost out on my chances to get most tuition assistance for college, so I put my ex-wife through college while I worked and waited till I would qualify (I was planning to attend RIT). I never did get back and it is probably my only real regret in life.
I lived in Rochester for a while till my ex lost her mind and dropped out of school. We moved to Auburn (about 20 miles from Cato) and I worked various jobs and finally landed a gig for a CATV contractor. This job affored me a lot of travel and I loved it!! My ex and I began growing distant and eventually she cheated on me and I dumped her after nine years of marriage.
At some point in there my father had called me up and said, "I just want to let you know that I am so glad you didn't take me up on my offer to work the farm together. I never realized how much freedom and fun there is in working a regular job and I'm glad I made the change.".
I lived the life of a contracting vagabond for a while. I lived wherever my job took me and visited a lot of great places.
I bought myself a trailer on a lake in Shelby, AL and lived there for a bit and enjoyed being single again. Finally a buddy of mine in CA called me up and convinced me that the streets of San Jose were paved with gold and that it was there for the taking. So, I quit my job, rented out my trailer, packed my stuff, and went to work in the computer industry. I started out goofing off for a few months. I had money and wasn't in any real hurry to get back to work. This was around the time Duke Nukem came out so I played that for days on end and generally enjoyed being a layabout.
On New Years eve I spent a weekend in Tahoe and met my lovely bride Naomi. We didn't end up hooking up for another 6 months but I could tell right away that she was going to be a lot of fun to be around (and boy was I right!!).
My bum days came to an end when I landed a job at Acer America as a tech support rep for their laptop department. That job lasted a whole 4 months before I realized that I was WAY better than this so I skipped out and took a job as a Quality Assurance tester at McAfee Anti-Virus. I worked my way up through the company and eventually became the QA manager. It was a GREAT job and I made WAY too much money at it...LOL. McAfee moved me up to Beaverton, OR and Naomi decided to come with me (we had been dating about 3 months by now). While I was up there and she was still in California, she called me to let me know that she was pregnant. WOW! What a change this news made in my life...LOL. We decided to stay together, have the baby and see how things worked out. She moved up to Oregon with me, we had the baby, fell madly in love and have been living happily ever after
I left McAfee after a bit and made my way to Intel. I worked on the Intel WebOutfitter service, made piles of money (did no actual real work) and bought a house. Somewhere in there, we planned for and had a son. Life was generally good. When my contract at Intel ended I went to work for a company called WebTrends as the QA manager. I couldn't stand it there, left and went back to McAfee as team lead for the 3rd level of support.
When the tech sector took its fall, my team and I went with it (for the most part). I lost my job, lived off my Asherons Call Pyreal business for the better part of a year and finally said screw it. I sold my house, my excess vehicles and packed up and moved back to Cato, NY. I took a job at the same CATV contractor I had worked for before, bought a new house and am living my life on the road again. It doesn't pay nearly as much but I enjoy life much better and my famliy is generally happy and content.
There is so much more to write but I don't want to completely give away all of my stories....plus I have a 4 page accident report to fill out right now....uggh!

LOL...Thanks everyone! Just to follow up on some loose ends.
I finished the accident report. Here is a quick rundown of what happened this afternoon.
State Police showed up at my office, said one of our drivers was involved in a hit and run accident at the FastTrac gas station. No other real details.
Since we only have one driver left on the job I knew who it was. I tried calling him, no answer. I jumped in my truck and tried to track him down at his job site. As I drove up to the site, he finally called me back and I told him what was going on and to meet me at the gas station in question. By this time he was over an hour away from the original scene....
I drove over to the gas station to meet the trooper. Apparantly as my driver pulled the bucket truck out of the station he hit some pipes involved in the fire suppression system that sits in the canopy above the pumps. The pipe fell down and hit a car. My driver probably never even noticed it happening.
So, the station had damage and the car had damage. I spent some time chatting it up with the trooper and let him know that my sister was a state trooper. We later discovered that his partner was trained by my sister. This worked out well as I was able to keep the trooper from writing up my driver for leaving the scene of an accident!!
I went out and took pictures of the car, got statements from the driver and store manager, started my report to corporate and got info from everyone involved. Finally my guy showed up and we got his statement and I got to drag myself back to the office to finish my post and then spent what was left of the afternoon typing up the accident report to corporate.
Our accident policy requires employees to pay up to 500.00 towards the cost of preventable accidents. Hopefully the words I chose to use in my report will show that the station was at least partially responsible due to the fact that clearance signs were not posted (I actually got the trooper to give the store manager a verbal warning w/ regards to this...which I could then put into my report )
I then drove my 90 miles home, ate dinner, finished my harry potter book, typed this and am now heading to bed.
Night all!!!
