PLAY NICE GUYS
Oki so I hear allot of why Remnants or some of them leaved
Well since Threnn, Teluas, Avandor, Xolo ( some of them ) didn’t tell the truth about why they really left both to Guin and after to Hib/Perc I’ve decided to tell the truth about it
First I though they just wanted to try out a new realm, so I followed to mid/Guin , where I made a kobi warrior so the guild group had a meat shield and I enjoyed playing him.
Later I found out the decision of moving were made cause there were to much drama in Albion Percival towards Remnants.
We made around level 40-45 or so and some started to make alts , getting them 50 with some of us ( PL wins ) , we made ML10 ( some of us ) started to gain realm ranks, artis , getting a name in rvr so to speak
Then the fatal blow comes. A fixed rvr group setup.. The “elite” so to speak nice plan..
Threnn, Teluas, Avandor, Xolo were the “elite” we build this guild they said , we 4 are making an fixed rvrgroupsetup , with 4 non guildys, you can make a secondary group with the remaining guild.
This is where the remaining guild got so pissed off , we helped leveling them, getting artis , gain ML , gain realm ranks , hell I my self even gave 11p for a guild house so we could have a place to meet up and have some fun and just get thrown out like dirt of the before primetime rvr where most of us played due to living in euro, odd working hours and so on
Some left the guild shortly after this including my self
Even the remaining officer’s of the guild got booted , a close friend , been in remnants for long.
Shortly after this I’am seeking a new guild cause I liked playing my char and a bunch of people starts to ask me, hey I though Remnants were a great guild that did allot of stuff and I told them why.
After a week the “elite” couldn’t get a group going anymore cause no one wanted to join them
And shortly there after the moving were made to hib/perc
While I’ve been talking to friends on Alb/Perc, I found that the drama were not made against Remnants but were made of remnants, provoked by the drama queen her self, Threnn.
So there it is, and I hope you like the drama coming your way hibs, cause that’s all what those 4 people will bring you and guild mates, prepare to get booted when it gets to rvr

This happens in about every guild of any size I think.
Some people use others for their own ends without much thought and then decide they are better than everyone elese and split off to form a new guild that lasts about a month, tops.

That sounds vaguely familiar. Gather people, run around, level up, play at friends, then when it comes to RvR start getting annoyed when more than 8 want to run, or when there are people who aren't quite 'elite' enough. What's worse is not wanting to run with particular guild people but not having the balls to actually tell them or tell them why.
It's a pity when they're your friends but they just like playing a class that is less than stellar, like say a necro. Confrontation becomes so terrifying, so instead run off and make another guild, problem is that with only a set 8 that's not enough people to be on 24/7 to feed an ego enough or give the attention needed. So there needs to be extras just in case. But then things get messy and darn those people for wanting to RvR with the guild and making things awkward.
So move to another server, lather, rinse, repeat. Then move to another server and another realm. Repeatedly.
Since the arpeez are more important.

This isn't an attack or a defense. Everything that was said by Loellan I've seen before, many times, so I wanted to add my thoughts.
I'm not entirely innocent in this myself. I found things comfortable, I didn't intervene on behalf of my friends. I let some people be pushed out by her without being told a word. I just enjoyed the RPs and the easy groups.
Thing is that wasn't entirely fair to people. Threnn wouldn't be direct about why someone would suddenly not be part of the team, or what was happening. If a person fell out of 'favor' they never knew exactly why. In some cases, they were told white lies as to not hurt their feelings. Sometimes this led to misunderstandings, sometimes led to people making alts and levelling them thinking they'd get groups, almost always led to hurt feelings.
I don't think she does these things maliciously, part of it is being non-confrontational part of it is selfishness, part of it is just trying to have fun. She likes to have friends and people around her; to be well liked, but she also wants to be competitive in RvR. The two don't always mix well.
It's hard to be the one who builds groups or guilds or raids or whatever. Not everyone gets along and you're always the one who gets blamed when people aren't having fun or are left out. But if you aren't direct in how you handle it, it just hurts people more in the long run, as evidenced by this thread.

I prefer leaders who let you know when you messed up or are sucking (Torm and Lara come to mind). The guild is for playing the game, you can socialize with people not in your guild without a problem.

Sorry, couldn't think of a nice way to say that. I play that way, and would never want to be a detriment to any group/guild I join; oddly, because I do value the friendship more than the arpees, so I don't put my own wants/selfishness over the 'group goal'.

There's usually running a gank group, or running a casual open guild with tons of friends. The two don't usually go together because you get issues like this.
The problems arise when you try to do both, and have all your friends, but then be elitist at the same time.

The bottom line though, for loellan, and anyone else who feels they've been burned by group setups and the like, is that you can never place your "fun" in someone else's hands. It's got to be on you. As soon as you turn it over, you lose. That's not to say that things couldn't be done better, I already said they could, but ultimately it's on you.

Alot of Hibernian gankers I actually like...
There are a few that I'd never ever group with though due to past run-ins, where they looked more at my rp totals and irs, then who just told them where exactly to find the enemy, which direction to come in from.. etc. etc.
But that said, there are some like Sabinne who have helped me more times than I can count. Druids that have run in in front of the zerg to res me! And so on. Heck I've even ran with a few on some occasions on different charcters that I have before, and had a blast!
But when I see people talking down to other players who aren't "elite" or they see as "foolish" then that's when I start to have problems with them! That's when I have to say something. Heck they enjoy their play style that's fine. Most of the time when I'm in a scouting mood I'll help them out. But mistreat my realm mates publicly... You is cut off from teh uberz intel!
<Most of the gankers I don't like don't really last more than a few months anyways hehe>

Wow, that hurt? Predian was being nice. I left Ascension a long time ago because of the never ending world of drama Threnn surrounded herself in.

Well since we know you aren't talking about your kids, you must mean 3 of your "boyfriends", right?
Being in an Ascension/Court group was hilarious. You had to try and guess which guy Threnn was currently cyboring, which one she was cheating on with her current RP boyfriend and how many in total she had cybored in the group. When her husband got back from his Tour of Duty there would be at least 4 or 5 people in the group with carnal knowledge of our illustious cleric.
When she wasn't busy screwing you in an RP story, she was busy screwing you out of a group, even though you were in her guild. Not that it was a big deal, but not telling the truth to the person you were turning down was usually pretty terrible. What she would tell the person in /gu and what she said in /g or /send were two entirely different things.
I eventually quit the guild because I couldn't stand watching all of the lame crap she would do to people. I never understood how so many nice people got so mixed up with such a terrible shit.
I am terrible jerk to people, but at least I'm honest about it, to them and myself.

Damn I just read that freakishly long essay and the rest of this thread and it's sure annoying finding out that Ascension had this degree of drama before Ascension/Court even split up. Thought they were the ones with the LEAST of this kind of stuff.
I'm glad Threnn told me there was no room for me in Ascension and I joined B&W instead. B&W has much more drama on the VN boards than in-game

Lemme tell my side of things.
Yes, we called ourselves Remnants because we got left behind so to speak when Riz moved to Mid. It was a joke so to speak because I had no desire to move at that time. I had a few other friends that I enjoyed to run with and we formed up. Looked for more people, formed up a guild that could do something.
On Alb we tried to get things going daily at the same time, it was a time that worked for the four of that that were the core of friends. You know, people you enjoy running with every day. I don't suppose there is anything wrong with that. But daily, we'd always be lacking a class. We'd have someone bring out their alt to try to fill in roles, or we'd run caster speed or what not. It got frustrating. No, we didn't have to win all the time. That truly isn't what matters. Believe what you will.
We got tired of being albs after a while. Folks joked around about trying mids out, trying hibs out. So we tried hibs on nimue for a couple weeks. Didn't know the real plan, just wanted a break from being albs. Btw, I'll get to the story about Ascension in a bit. But we found out that Nimue rvr was pretty dead during Euro hours, so that wouldn't really work. Back to alb, but we still weren't happy. We would get 7 people daily, and honestly just couldn't run on 7 people and be able to compete.
So, Mid Guin. Formed up, invited everyone in Remnants to go with us. A couple chose not too, their choice, most did come. Folks didn't really pick classes based on any specific idea, we just threw it all together. Bad idea. We ended up with too many of one class, not enough of others. The officers struggled to try to make it work. We learned our classes, some folks went back to alb cause they couldn't get in the main group. I was on an sm, I chose to exp outside the group so that folks that were lower level could be in group etc. We ended up meeting some cool people, merged guilds for a while, ended up back as Remnants. We hit 50, a couple rerolled cause our class wasn't right for the mix. A few more followed from ALbion, old friends that were in other guilds. The magic idea of 2 groups came up. Something we'd tossed around in Albion a few times.
See, for some reason, it never worked when we ran more than 8. People's brains shut off. Assisting went down hill, afk's were longer, all sorts of stupid stuff. But I always wanted people out there and would try. Even though it ended with folks logging off pissed.
So, here we now have about 18 people, with about 12 active and on daily. Two healers, three skalds, no shaman (for a while) a few people that would show up every few weeks (mostly due to work). So.. we would take out the first 8 people online. That didn't really work to well, someone was always the same one to sit out, and sometimes it was the person that gee, was one of my 3 closests friends. And the second group never started picking up and going out there. We tried. God did we try. We had met more people, we offered to help build it, we offered everything. But it never really took off.
So, yes, we came up with the idea to run a specific 8 people. Why? Because there were 4 of us, and 4 roommates that would come on at the same time. Put us together, thats 8 but thats a crappy group with the classes. So, we halved it. Said we'd build up the guild to accomodate it. That didn't help either. Yes, we went for out of guild people. why? because we needed to build up the guild so we could do this magical 2 groups that sounded so good on paper.
Duine was left out of our group. Why? Well, the honest, brutal truth that was fact is that he decided he was done with pve when the rest of us were still trying ot level up and artifact out people. They were alts you see, even though we said they were the one the person was going to play. He was done with pve. Nevermind the fact that we were all tired of it. It didnt matter. He was done. So he went out to rvr, the rest of us were still trying ot finish pve so we could get out there. Were we upset with him? Damn straight. But he was the one insistent that the other people never ran at his time, when the majority of times they were on when we were.
So, we are finally rvr'ing, trying this group set up. It worked. Loved it. Great classes and we were doing well. But you know what? Guin rvr sucked. We hated it. Pure and simple. Don't believe me? I don't care. And YES, we were frustrated with the guild and that it never quite worked how it was planned. We invited more people to form 2 groups, that was the plan, it didn't happen. So four friends CHOSE to move servers. OUR choice.
We are starting over, with a guild of 8 people so we never ever have that problem of seeing anyone in the guild left out of a group again. I hated that, every bit of me hated that. But people like to win, you can't win with 3 skalds, no shaman and no dps. No one has fun when you run a group like that. NO ONE.
As for Predian's comments. First, I can't imagine anything ever said has ever hurt me as badly as that did. I cannot express how painful that was to read. I will say for the record, YES I LIKE TO WIN, who doesn't? But I built those groups on the basis of whoever was leading them. Back in that time it was Milric and he had some very specific ideas on who he would group with and who he would not. I would not invite people that he would not group with. Call me naive, stupid, whatever you want but if the person I'm building a group for won't run with someone then why would I invite them out?
I am not innocent in many many things. But I will not sit here and take this. I do not deserve it. I have tried very hard to help and be there for many people. No I am not perfect, I've made mistakes, I've been selfish. Tell me no one else is? I challenge any one of you to show me how perfect your life is compared to mine, and how well you lead it.
I'm not laying blame at any one's feet. I'll freely accept it on my shoulders. But sometimes crap happens and you can't really deal with it in any way that doesn't hurt someone. I'm sorry for anyone I have hurt. Especially those that were Remnants on Alb or Mid.
Yes, its long. Don't read it, I don't care. This was all of it, every bit of truth in the whole matter. That Duine/Loellan brought it here, oh well. But I refuse to not defend myself.
The funny thing is? All I want to do is run around daily with 3 other people. I've got other friends that I care about too, but theres 3 people that make my day something special. I'd do just about anything to hang out with them. The game doesn't even mean crap anymore without them there. I could be on any server doing anything from pve to mls to rvr and I'd be content long as they were in my group.

I think her exact same story can be said for a lot of guilds I know first hand. But you see your still not willing to admit its all at the cost of winning you counter yourself many times in your long statment. You say it doesn't matter yet you have to run at caster speed as one example. You want a fair fight you want to win you are not willing to go out with a gimp group and get run over and over thats called loosing the opposite is called winning...
I'd like to add that there is no easy answer I found somthing that works for me its very strange how you talk about the "3" people becuase I have that exact same thing going on. So we decide we would form our own guild but its not a "guild" its simply a way to share a chat channel, a house with all its goodies. Thats it nothing more nothing less we are all GM's

All I can say is if someone asked me to join their guild on a different server and I leveled to 50 and ML10 and one day they just up and left, I would be pretty upset. I don't think Threnn is a bad person, but I can see where Loe is coming from. That is a huge time investment.

I wasn't going to post here, as I happen to like both Loellan and everyone else that has been a member of Remnants on Percival/Guinevere.
But some jerk trying to poke fun at Thrennoade by posting a real-life picture as if that should put any credit to the insults that have been thrown her way... absolutely, absolutely, absolutely disgusting.
Threnn, Xolo, Teulas, all of Remnants-- these are wonderful people. I’ve had a blast playing with them, and I am looking forward to having a blast playing against them.
I do feel for Loellan; he was wronged in a fashion, but I don’t think a thread like this was justified. These players are not manipulative villains that posts here are trying to make them out to be, they are merely friends that are trying to find fun in the game. I'd say they are the opposite of pretty much every "ganker" stereotype out there.
I didn’t care too much about this thread when I first saw it-- figured it would be farmage and minor drama, nothing more. Yet the personal-styled attacks are too much. It’s cliché, it’s corny--- but these are real people you’re attacking, and when the blaze becomes venomous rather than just passable flaming, I think you need to step back and remember that fact.

I considered myself a decent friend of Thrennoadae. Ran with them a couple times, joked with them on Vent, was in an Alliance with them. Almost joined their Guild, decided not to because I wanted to join Elysium.
I'd like to point out three things.
1: The picture is, imo, not bad-looking.

Noel, you're trash. I don't think i need to present any facts, your comments are enough to prove it.
Qadim, i'm pretty sure i remember you running with After Life instead of your own guild for a while, so basically instead of stepping up and helping with these so-called problems you backed away from them and took the easy road, and now you're here to blame Threnn. BTW, i'm fairly sure Milric was in charge of most groups, and basically said, i'm not running unless you run this setup with these people.
If you want to know the truth, on Mid/Guin i said, this is what we need to do, ie this group setup, and these people. I decided not to run Loellan for a number of reasons. One of them being the fact that he was unwilling to help guildies do the basic things they need to do to be ready for RvR. And also that he flat out did not listen to instructions in RvR on his Warrior. I said assist and he picked his own targets. Etc etc. I'll say it strait up.
On guin we didnt restrict anyone from running anything, we recruited enough people and enough good players to form a second group. We said this is the setup we want to run and we'd like to take these people, who have the choice to do so or not. Besides the 8 of us in that set group there were at least 12 other members in Remnants who could have formed that second group and been just as successful, as they had the proper class makeup to do so. They didnt, even though we tried to help them as much as we could, ie. making new classes, leveling them, getting them artifacts, devoting a whole day to ML presetps. I'm not your babysitter loellan, i'm your guildy, i'll help you however you can but i'm not going to hold your hand.
This is all very personal and no one should truly give a flying fart about any of this. To those that would insult others in the way they have, i say you're trash, and thus have no value in any way. Re-evaluate who you are and what you do before you find yourself more alone than you already are, and more depressed at your lack of worth.
Thanks to everyone who stepped up and said good things about people who obviously have great worth. I appreciate your willingness to do what is right when it counts. To those that shirk at stepping up and saying what you know is the truth, i say bummer, you just lost some good friends =/

Yeah, its a game. Remember that concept? If someone isn't having fun doing something for something that is conceptually supposed to be fun, when is it wrong for them to try something else? Sure, theres a certain let down sort of feeling, I've had other people stop playing and move on, change servers. Folks I was guilded with, friends with. It happens.

Actually Xolo, I know everything. I know all of the stuff that happened, because I was there. Where were you? You don't actually know what happened or you wouldn't have typed up that response.
It's just a game, a game that gets ruined when people drag real life drama into it. I quit the guild because of it. And I rarely talk about it, but I was pretty bored tonight and got angry at Threnn's response to Pred. She acted like he said something hurtful, when in reality he was way too nice about it. Guess it was ok for her to run around hurting everyone, but heaven forbid someone question it or actually call her out for it.
