For now, I'm only doing that with the Powerleveling Guide. That's waaaaaaay too much work for me to do currently or else I'd give it a shot. Another problem is that it wouldn't be very accurate since I may have awesome equipment to test with while another guy might have sub-par stuff. I would be able to kill several times faster. plain

I have some suggestions of things you could add.

1) Protections you need
2) The type of monsters in dungeon
3) Weapon skill needed to hit monster
4) Melee/misssle defense skill needed to evade
5) What lvl spells the monsters cast
6) Do the monsters use hollow weapons
7) Are the dungeons recallable

Otherwise it's a great guide.

well, for xp/hour

it does depend on a few things other than gear you have: are you looting and salvaging?

i know when i'm in OHN at level 35 (no imbued weapon) i'm only getting about 1.2 million/hour and i'm looting and salvaging

whereas in BSD i'm using a CS Fire weapon and not looting, and i'm making almost 4million/hour solo (if i have the dungeon to myself)


i'm curious how the 40-60 matron hive is for xp though, anyone?

well, to answer my own question and to post the info for others

i tried out the 40-70(no longer 60) natron hive in Khayyaban

solo, with some salvaging - over 4 million/hour


haven't been through the whole dungeon yet so i'm sure it could handle a nice fellow

seems it's always empty lately

The 40-70 Matron hive (for the rainment) got me 8-10 mil xp/hr when I was there, but it was with VII's, no looting, and a really nice bludge rend hammer. I stayed there 'til I couldn't get in any more. happy

What lvl of olthoi does the arcade get to? I have only been down to the servants on my archer, and i thought that was the end, so, why would a lvl

i have been hitting the Lugian citidel at Qualabar with lvl 7 buffs and a Light rend sword i am knocking out 3.6 million an hour almost on the nose, i could probably get 4 mil but i alway stop to loot/salavage.

Kaleb this is awesome stuff. What I like especially about this guide is it gives you a few options for when one place is too camped. I haven't tried it out too much but I plan to start leveling some of my lower toons again and this will be a big help happy

The tusker dungeons on AL are usually empty. I would level there and progressively go to the next tusk dungeon as you level up.

Kind of... there's really no need for most of the list since you can level almost solo in even the very best spots in it. A simple, one-element, turn-key leveling guide might go Arcade - 20+ Hive in Nanto - OHN - 40+ Hive in Khayya... OR follow the chain of Tusker dungeons if you don't have bludgeon. All of those places will still work, but the Olthoi and Tuskers are there, fatter with xp and, for the most part, empty. A couple days of either and you can go to bunch of 50+ leveling grinds. happy

I agree entirley with deah_the_mage except for a few possible changes:

1-20
- Olthoi Arcade
- Dark Lair (near greenspire. Also has pincer at bottom)

20-30
- Nanto Matron Hive

30-40
- 30+ Restricted OHN (accessible via mansion portal device)

40-60
- White wasps (if you have the magic D)
****Tusker Kill task from Lin (completion of the task should take you to around lvl 53/54 taking into acct lvls earned while doing the task too

50-90
- Fiuns (wont be the most efficient hunter at 50, but you can get the job done well enough)

90-110
- Lower Fiuns (Library)

110-130
- 110+ Eaters (just make sure you have the melee D. If you need, head back to lower fiuns until its high enough)

130-140
Vissidel (solo hunting tough at 130, and for many the run to the deep to turn in trophies can be risky, but its a good quick way to get a few lvls if you can make it. IMO though its NOT feasible to try and lvl to 140 100% off trophies as it starts to take quite a few)

140+
- EO
- POTB (some of the best XP ingame imo IF you can get a good fellow going)



Seems to be though that theres a uniform consensus that Hives/Fiuns/Eaters/Viss/EO is the way to go though tongue

Do keep in mind as well that this is for those who are hunting their way though the early lvls. For power lvling just head on out to your local GW spawn (assuming its not always camped lol)


Anyway, just my 2 cents!

The tusker kill task from lin is only 20 mil exp.
So.. assuming you get 0 xp from the tuskers, at level 35 (my current level) it will only take you to 44.
Also note, the spawn is REALLY bad in BSD now (at level 40, I could clear the whole dungeon with my archer)
Back in the day, you could stay in one area and kill kill kill.. and you'd be fine.

I just started doing the Guard kill task on my staff character, and I've found that the spawn of Tusker Guards in the tusk dungeon on Alphus is very good, even if I can pretty much clear it out.

It will only take you from 35-44? Thats actually a great spread. I remember a time when you would think that was insanely-unbelievable giving the short time it takes to hunt either BSD or AL to complete the task. People have it way to easy these days!

Remember you can do it with your archer, but thats on your archer...Your playing a different template/weapon class, of course things are not goign to be the same...some are quicker or slower than others. Not to mention Archers hit hard in general.

You can still do that. A great example is Fiuns; levels 40 to one hundred and whatever.
I can not bring myself to hunt there anymore because I was there for so long killing the same thing and running the same rout.

AT around 200 skill (buffed) you can resist 50% of the time. I just pump xp directly into it for a while (if I'm hitting the wasps)

Is there an alternative to Fiuns/Lower Fiuns for levels 50-110?

Even if its a bit slower or more difficult, there must be a place with comparable xp per hour.

I've hunted Fiuns to stinking...can't stand the thought of living in there for another 50 levels sick
