Need some help with my Harddrives

OK.. So i had a western digital 1tb(WD1002FAEX) HDD. it got corrupted somehow after like 6 months so i sent it in for an RMA and decided to buy another 1tb so that i'd have a HDD. I got the second HDD back and installed it.... when i go into the BIOS it is showing me both HDD's in sata 1 and sata 2 ports. when i get into windows i can't see the second drive. I actually had my new hdd and my old in my system when i was testing the older one to see if it worked and running WD's hdd test it failed on the drive... anyways....... anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue? i know i read someone say you can't have 2 of these in your system, yet i did that already so that doesn;t make sense to me as to being the problem and what company would do that? my mobo is an MSI P67A-GD65

did you create a partition and format the HD you got back from RMA? right click my computer click on manage click on disk management on the left under storage there you can see physical drives and make partitions and format them. if that isn't it, you will have to go through a lot of troubleshooting

As previously stated, but you might need to assign it a drive letter.
Also, try it on SATA port 3 and Are both drives the same SATA type? I assume a mix, thats why I suggested moving it to the next port.

I'm with Palvati on this one - very possible the new drive just is not formatted yet. Another way to get to Disk Management if you don't have a My Computer shortcut (like me) is go to Control panel, open Administrative tools, open Computer management, and finally open Storage and Disk Management. It will take a little time - maybe 10 secs to detect all your drives and partitions, but it should display all physical and logical storage devices you have in your system with nice bars and such. You have to see if both your 1TB drives are displayed and if both have a file system associated with them. If one does not right click it and select to format. If in any doubt, take a screenshot and post it here before you format anything. Here's a screenshot of what it my Laptop's Storage looks like:
