Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

waist deep in snow. what you can not see is that the other side has a gondola that takes you near the summit, and from there there is a path that sneaks up and around the mountain until you reach the top. Its a popular picnic spot during the Iranian new years. I was 8 or 9, that year my parents had planned to go there on the 13 day of spring(Iranian custom to go somewhere outdoors for the 13th day of the new year). The night before a snow storm blew through, and in the morning the entire mountain was covered with 3-4 feet of powder, but the next morning it was a clear sunny day so they decided to go anyways as a lot of our family were also going there and no one wanted to cancel. Going up was OK, i followed the path easy. coming down i figured the path snakes down anyways ill just go straight down and ill land on one level down a short cut i guess. WRONG! the path snaked around the other side of the mountain instead of back down towards the opposite way i was walking and because of the sunny day, just a few 100 feet below the summit a very thick Fog had set in place you would barley see your hand in front of your face.. and i was going straight down the side of the mountain that you see in the image, nothing on that side so i would have probably died if i hadn't screamed for a good hour as i walked down till my luck someone heard me right at the spot where the gondola drops people off i had walked a about a 1 mile below that level. true story.
