Two new 7 inch and an 8.9 inch Kindle tablets in the works?
|
Rumors of what the next Kindle table would be have been pretty much unreliable thusfar. There was suppose to be a 10 inch Tegra 3 Kindle coming in January, but it's March and so that didn't happen. Now the latest rumor says there is no 10 inch coming at all. http://www.technobuffalo.com/companies/amazon/amazon-may-launch-three-new-kindle-fire-tablets-this-year/ This time those oh so reliable inside sources tell us there are two 7 inch tablets, a low end 1024x600 and a med range 1280x800. And a third high end 8.9 inch that would have a 1920x1200 resolution. Oh, I'd love to have that 8.9 inch if it's real.

Not interested in any tablet that uses a locked in market app where I can only use what they want to provide. Usually at a higher cost than you can get it from the Google Market anyway. My Nook Color is a little glitchy from time to time but I'd say it works flawlessly 95% of the time and that's good enough for me.

Your second paragraph completely contradicts your first paragraph though.

Well anything is cool once you root it. Speaking of the Kindle Fire if anyone is interested, the refurbished version is available from Amazon for $140 today. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0051VVOB2

You can but I haven't done it yet. Eventually when I'm bored.

No, it doesn't. Mine's a little glitchy and I'm not chained to B&N. Power-cycling fixes everything.

Was referring to him not being interested in the Fire because it's locked into the Amazon Appstore, then he had a Nook Color, which is locked into a far smaller Nook market.
