Nitpick: No they weren't.
They went to trial, and during the course of that trial the prosecution changed tactics regarding the sedition charge. When they did that the judge decided to act as jury (which they can do) and acquitted them of the charges. This is nowhere near the same as a dismissal since it means the prosecution literally cannot appeal or try again (double jeopardy).
This doesn't mean the prosecution was wrong to bring the case, it just means they lost.

doesnt matter innocent until proven guilty the prosecutor failed to prove anything so these innocent people were held for 2 years against their will

Uh - and? The same thing can be said about anyone who gets found Not Guilty at trial. It doesn't mean they were innocent... it means the prosecution failed to prove they were guilty.
I know this subtle distinction is utterly lost on someone with your proven mental incapacity, but I feel compelled to try anyway.
