Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Those lovely guys and gals in the marketing departments are at it again. This time they are attacking TV refresh rates as this HD Guru story explains. http://hdguru.com/beware-of-phony-lcd-hdtv-refresh-rates/7726/ 60Hz TVs are being passed as 120Hz. And 120Hz are being passed off as 240Hz. They aren't call it refresh rate in those cases, but using marketing terms like "Clear Motion Rate" and "Scenes Per Second" and using methods that emulate a faster refresh rate.

marking departmens piss me off. Take att for example, they had no plans of calling HSPA+ 4g until tmobile did it. Then Apple never said once that the iphone 4s was 4g, then all of the sudden people had a 4g at the top of their phone.
