I was out guarding the beaches when that heat wave hit a few years ago. They kept us open another hour, said we could take naps on downtime, OK'd overtime, and I got called in on both my days off.
Was absolutely insane. 400 people in the water at any time and 1k+ on the beach. At one point we had 4 rescues within 30 minutes. Nobody died!
Also, I got really tan. And got to spend the heatwave on the beach, getting paid.

Fall is usually not too terrible for me. Spring is by far the worst. Like this weekend I was running around outside with the kids we were watching and suddenly I basically keeled over. Although I'd taken allergy medication, the pollen was too strong and my face basically swelled up and became a running mess of mucus and tears. I stayed indoors the next day

My only complaint is that, now that I'm allergic to sunshine, I break out in itchy hives if I get too much exposure. Not much of an issue up in the Boston area, but last week we were at Disney World and you can still see where I had hives on my chest and arms -- sunscreen must have washed off in the pool.

I know there are sunscreen formulas that are oil-free and hypoallergenic, but the sunscreen I like best right now is Banana Boat SPF 50 -- there's a kids' version that has titanium dioxide in it that has a nice feel when it goes on.

Yeah I have oil free, dry feeling, faces kind, baby kind, all natural baby kind... all of them make me break out. its not so bad in winter, I can get away without wearing sunscreen with how little direct sun we get. Most of mine are neutrogena, but I'm going to go and try some other brands this year, since most of them have caught up on the SPF sunblock.

Winter is my favorite season, weather-wise. I hate the heat. HATE IT.
Right now it's nice. And I do like to garden. But omg when it gets hot and humid I just want to start punching things. I don't have allergies. Just can't handle heat. Whereas you'll find me happily wearing sandals all winter long (no socks!)
