I'm not sure what you're saying here... BMW M3 is by far superior to the 328i.

This is real world, daily driver. I'm way past drag racing from stop light to stop light or trying to see just how fast I can traverse a curvy road.
However, I ain't dead yet and like high tech. I live in the mid Atlantic. No snowy winters here, at least not much.
Want something fun to drive daily, and will be comfortable for the occasional long trip and will last with good preventative maintenance.
Budget is mid forties to low fifties. That's more than enough to pay for a nice car unless you are just stupid rich.
A trip to various dealers looking at Audi A5 2.0T Quattro, BMW 328i, Infiniti G37, and Lexus IS350C pretty much settled me on the BMW or Infinity. Audi is out because the convertible is a rag top. I think the European Audi and BMW are a bit stiffer ride and Far East Infiniti and Lexus are bit softer and more comfortable ride. I'm not dead set against the Lexus, I just liked the BMW and Infinity better.
I really like the BMW. I owned a Z3 coupe for a few years and it is the only car I'm sorry I sold. I stated BMW 328i but may go 330 or 335. M series are certainly nice but can cost a lot more and like I said, I'm not into street racing.
I liked the Infiniti and the dealership is part of the appeal. They were very attentive and spent a lot of time showing and telling. That's nice but once I buy the car I don't plan to spend a lot of time at the dealership. It's still a fine automobile though.
So anyway, for me its a chunk of change and probably a car I will keep the next 10 years or so.

No one builds cars like Germans. There is only one choice, the Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW).

Get the 335. Take care of it (preventative maintenance, etc.) and it will be good for 500,000 miles with ease. Excellent choice.

G37, costs less for maintenance, just a better car BMWs are kinda driven exclusively by douchebags I was actually thinking about getting a G37 as well in the next few months. It may turn into a Scion FR-S though (toyota GT86). I saw the a GT86 about 2 weeks ago with a custom spoiler and all decked out. Beautiful car, sounded great, wicked low. If I had time I'd wait until the Suburu BRZ to be released instead, Boxer engine, same exact specs (actually a little lower), isn't a freaking Scion

Simply put, the Infinity (while being better than many things on the market) is NOT a better car than a BMW. Who cares how or who else drives BMWs? If they are douchebags or not has nothing to do with the reason YOU would buy a fantastic driving machine.

How's the BMW better? The G37 has a better engine, isn't driven by a billion people already, less in maintenance, better in style In what way does a 328 or a 335i better other than having the BMW brand?

Not going to get into the German car thing again with Mangler, because it's not worth it. I suggest the G37 over the 328i.

You realize you're arguing with Mangler right? He's a car salesman bro, there's no one on Earth that knows more about cars than him. Plus, he has a hard-on for German cars.. probably because he's "good German stock" lololololol

If the 335i is an option, you can forget the rest. What you get with a BMW is a car that is fun to drive, nice to drive, comfortable to drive and will stay that way for the next 200 000 miles. I'm not sure what you get with a Nissan.

I am a car salesman, and I DO know more about vehicles than 99% of the fools on this board. Fact of life. Same way you probably know more about your job than I do. Again, simple fact of life. Shouldn't be a revelation to anyone here. Ask any Asian car manufacturer who they are attempting to emulate and the answer is invariably Germans. Yet again, simple fact of life.

Taken directly from their website: We design extraordinary cars. It only seems right to offer a service plan to match. BMW offers a comprehensive suite of premium vehicle maintenance services for absolutely no cost: buy a BMW now and pay no maintenance costs for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Featuring the following services, BMW Ultimate Service lives up to its name: New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty: This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for the first four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, so you can rest assured your BMW will perform as expected. BMW Maintenance Program: One of the most comprehensive maintenance programs in its class, covering all factory-recommended maintenance services during the New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty Coverage Period, as well as specific items that require replacement due to normal wear and tear, such as brake pads, brake discs and wiper blade inserts. Four years of the BMW Assist Safety Plan: Many 2007 and later models include a four-year, unlimited mileage subscription to the BMW Assist Safety Plan including TeleService, an exclusive BMW benefit which allows your vehicle to contact your BMW center directly when it needs service or maintenance. Unlimited-Mileage Roadside Assistance: Receive Roadside Assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the first four years of ownership, without any mileage limitation. It's a service plan so advanced, it's even equipped with peace-of-mind. So while many car owners will incur from several hundred to over one thousand dollars of maintenance or repair costs during the first 4 years they own their vehicles, you pay nothing for the first 4 years or 50,000 miles. After all, an Ultimate Driving Machine® - and its driver - deserve nothing less than BMW Ultimate Service.

You buy a car because it's enjoyable to drive. Not because of what other may or may not think of you.

The free maintenance for BMW isn't that frequent. I end up paying for an oil change in between their set service intervals. 135i coupe is a blast to drive tho...
