Wtf?
They are everywhere now all the sudden. They cover both exits to every grocery store. Also, I don't know if this is a new tactic, but at least 3 of them I've encountered have had the "special" girl scout, one moaned something at me and the mom repeated in english, and another just yelled multiple times at me that they were selling cookies.
I feel bad, not only do I not want to buy cookies, but I also don't want to feel guilt for not buying cookies from some mentally disabled girl.

I was part of a girl scout cookie sale once. All the cookies came to me directly, so I ended up with stacks and stacks that covered several walls in my parents' house. I had to hand deliver everything I sold. Do they still do that? I would guess,(hope) they go straight to customers now?
Also I heard the new cookies aren't as good anymore... any truth to this? Recipe changes or something?

Fair enough... personally i wont buy the cookies because i dont eat crap like that any more (except for the occasional treat) and i just dont want it in my house. So i just walk past them and ignore any guilt because i know tons of people buy the cookies and its not like my one purchase is going to cause a massive shortfall or anything.

Can't do that anymore. Door to door sales are no longer allowed due to it being dangerous.

A vast majority of them still go through people exactly like that.
The "booth sales" are extra that the troops order in order to sell to people who don't have GS friends or relatives.
They also split up the cookies sold between whatever girls show up. This helps girls who wouldn't normally be able to sell enough
to get any prizes bump up a level or so to get better/more stuff.
