Israel's prime minister sets off this week on a U.S. visit clouded by a deepening rift with Washington, which is pressing Israel to hold off on any attack against Iran's suspect nuclear program.
Although Israel says it hasn't decided whether to strike, it has signaled readiness to do so -- a move that would have deep worldwide implications.

This would just be the likely start of a "tribulation" period. Second coming wouldn't be until massive destruction aka nuclear weapons, total world economic depression pushes people to back the idea of a world government etc..etc.. or some such come into play and is supposed to last 7 years....tbe first 3 of a faux peace.
It is not a matter of wanting it to happen, it will happen when it is supposed to happen and nothing any man can do will change that by one millisecond.

Israel has had massive success in the past with preemptive strikes. Covert operations against Iran have been going on for years and is only meant to slow down Iran's progress to buy the peace process time to work. Clearly it has not, so what is left is Israels tried and true preemptive strike which is what we will witness this year.

Then there will be a charismatic man that will bring peace to the middle east, the temple mount will be on some sort of a peace treaty, there will be animal sacrifice reinstated during the 7 year peace treaty. In the middle of the 7 years, 3 1/2 years the anti christ will break the peace treaty, stop the animal sacrifice and set up an abomination of desolation in the temple, and he will set himself in the temple as god and claiming to be god and will cause all big and small, rich and poor, jew and gentil to take a mark on his hand or in his forehead so that all who do not have the mark cannot buy or sell and whoever does not take the mark will be put to death. Its all in scripture, its the only prophecy with a date on it. He (the antichrist) will confirm a covenant with Israel for one 7 (seven years) and in the middle of the seven years ( 3 1/2 years) they will break the covenant.
Daniel 9:27

Its based of daniels 70 week timeline. Seventy, sevens as its said in scripture. Or seventy weeks.
The "middle" of the last "week" (‘seven’) of the 490 represents a 7-year period divided into two equal parts (i.e., 3½ + 3½ = 7 years, Daniel 9:27), just as the "2300" (i.e., 6½ years) also divides in half.

a.) 1260 days:
"And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1260 days, clothed in sackcloth" (Revelation 11:3).
"The women fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1260 days" (Revelation 12:6).
b.) 1290 days: (The 1290 is the 1260, except with the 30-day intercalary month added, just as 1299 is simply 1270 with its lunar leap month of 2Adar.){12} (1290 is also 430 x 3.)
"From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1290 days" (Daniel 12:11).
c.) 1335 days: ("1335" is both inclusive or exclusive of the 1290, for a total of 3½ or 7 years).
"Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1335 days" (Daniel 12:12).

Its all in scripture, its the only prophecy with a date on it. He (the antichrist) will confirm a covenant with Israel for one 7 (seven years) and in the middle of the seven years ( 3 1/2 years) they will break the covenant.
Daniel 9:27
He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him."
Daniel 12:12
Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
King James Version states it is 7 days not years.

I think people of faith have too many different translations of their book.
I don't know how you can agree on anything when you have different versions.
Also, this vision Daniel is speaking of is given to him by Gabriel an angel.
If it is about the end times and Jesus says no one knows, not even the angels, then why would an angel be telling someone about something that he supposedly does not know?
