As you guys all know, for years Calladon has been choosing the Outpost Douchebag of the Year. With Calladon gone, Sinlock and I took it upon ourselves to find a way to keep this most excellent tradition alive. We attempted to do so by choosing a Douchebag of the Year Selection Committee (DBOTYSC.) This was an onerous process, but in the end we believed we'd come up with a truly outstanding group that would not only live up to the high standard set by Calladon, but might even exceed it.
Sinlock and I could not have been more wrong. 
We selected GrilledCheez, tenkly, and the_great_intex as our committee and gave them broad powers and wide latitude to do their job however they saw fit. The steering committee imposed very few requirements on the DBOTYSC, but one of those requirements was that they would have to name a DBOTY. They've had 2 months to do so and they didn't.
All three are now deposed from the DBOTYSC by executive order.
That's the bad news. The good news is that Sinlock and I have (on a one time basis only) stepped in to fill the void and made the Outpost Douchebag of the Year selection that the DBOTYSC could not or did not.
Sinlock and I are pleased to announce that the Outpost Douchebag of the Year selection has ended in a three way tie.
Congratulations to our new reigning Outpost Douchebags of the Year!
A new DBOTYSC will be selected in December.

Appointments are permanent (you get to pick every year) but reviewable by the committee to select the committee but the choices of the committee are not reviewable.
Clearly someone is attempting to overstep his bounds. This post is null and void and it is a pity anyone fell for it.

Sinlock and I only assumed the role of judges as an emergency action in response to the gross failure by the appointed judges. Now that the emergency has abated, we have stepped down from that role. New selection committee members will be appointed in December.

Anyone who wanted to make a claim to supersede either Sinlock or me in our roles has had 2 months to do so since we assumed our positions. No such claims have been made.
However, if you want to make an appeal now, our appeals committee will be happy to hear your complaint. Sinlock and I co-chair the appeals committee so just send either of us a PM with your basis and evidence and we'll get back to you with a decision within 18 months.
