At least thieves in GW2 use stealth in a more tactical manner than most MMOs. They don't have the traditional super hard hitting stealth openers that lets them spike someone down inside of a stunlock.

Smoke Screen + Stomp = Cloaks for Everyone!
Professions: Thief, Warrior
"This is one of my favorite combos. You take a thief, who uses his/her Smoke Screen skill to create a smoke field. Then a warrior comes along and blasts the smoke with a Stomp, adding Stealth to nearby allies by cloaking them in gloom. It's a very cool effect, and it comes in handy in combat."

And Warriors (and likely some others too) can cause an AOE stealth by comboing an ability with a Thief's smoke screen.

Engineer has a skill that implies it might have some kind of stealth with a rifle in hand. If so, that may sway my vote. I LOVED the Engineer in Warhammer. One of my all time favorite classes. Range / Traps / Grenades / Healing / AOE Turrets / Stealth = Win. Hope I get into Beta so I can check that out.

Skinny got me to try the engineer in Warhammer and I loved the class.
That said I have zero knowledge of GW. Someone tell me what the hardest class to play is and I will give that a try. If I play at all.

Glad to hear there are no henchmen in GW2. I hate having to haul a pet around. 90% of my PvE deaths come from terribad pathing or something that fool pet does.

I wonder if you guys have ever considered that maybe why you burn out on games so quickly is because you've already spent months on the game before you've even played.
It's not even in beta yet, and already you are asking about what class people are planning on playing??
The groupthink on GW2 is going to be really bad, possibly worse than TOR.
