Each one is magnificently complex in her own way. I believe we invite these intrigues into our lives.

Not sure precisely what you are asking, but the answer is yes in every case I can think of. You want complicated? Try loving sisters

Have you ever tried platonically loving every woman? It works quite well and doesn't cause much distress.

This is an excellent premise, but in actual practice is problematic - it's tough not to get attached - especially to some women. They're all beautiful in their way (or nearly all anyway) and yeah... well... apparently in many cases, their jeans rule my genes...

Cawlin has a good point. If you can be friends with a woman you can be her lover. The two of you do not necessarily plan and plot this to happen. It's magic. Something happens, in the moment, and you go with the your intuition. "When the horses are out of the barn, they will run. Why would you repress natural inclinations which just emerge from Existence. I understand the addictive nature of being in relationships. It is important to be aware of behavioral patterns. But how can something so human, so hardwired be wrong. I would argue there is no right or wrong here.

Empathy. If you involve yourself in the admittedly possibly genetically artificial construct of a committed relationship, you assume a certain amount of responsibility for the feelings of your partner. Issues of trust, monogamy, etc. very likely matter within such constructs and it comes down to an issue of simple empathy and consideration for the feelings of your partner. So, that's why you'd curtail your natural instinct imo: simple empathy for and taking responsibility for the emotions and wishes of your partner to whom you've voluntarily committed. Now, of course we all are free to build relationships with adults with whatever parameters we can agree with them on. I'm not trying to say that all relationships must be monogamous, just that when there is an expectation of it, the responsible thing to do, if you want to pursue other romantic interests is to either seek to redefine the relationship with the agreement of your partner on the new parameters, or extricate yourself from the relationship entirely.

And if you can be her lover, you can be her friend. You spend a lot of time trying to justify your decisions as things beyond your control or planning, but it all rings hollow. What confuses me is you continue to embrace behavior which you seem to feel the need to then justify speciously. If you believe it is natural, unplanned and hardwired and all that makes it also right, why do you go to the frequent effort of seeking justification?

love is a wonderful thing. but it doesn't preempt your choices. As an excuse it is really only valuable to yourself. I have had strong feelings for many women, but I haven't loved any but two. Love is like infatuation you put legs on. It's not something you don't control. IMO.

No. Not possible for me. I fall hard and there is no place for a second woman once the first sets up shop.

No, love for a woman/significant other to me means something very intense and deep..not superficial. When im in love i have blinders on and im pretty much obseesed. Its like that song 'when a man loves a woman'. So i could never put that kind of energy into more than one person at a time..putting it into one is exhausting enough.
