Pitbull 3 houses away

A white lady, her cousin and two half black kids own it and are not good, responsible owners at all. The one boy walks around and tries to threaten people with it alredy. They leave it off the leash sometimes and it just killed a cat in the alley. There are at least a dozen elementary skool aged kids on my block....
And I'm getting an itchy trigger finger!

The police dept and animal control in a nearby large city have commercials on tv about pitbulls being a dangerous breed and if one is seen off a leash to call the police immediately. I'm sure this will outrage some pitbull fanbois but it is true.
My daughter has already said that the neighborhood kids are afraid of this dog. I don't even think it's a year old yet but it's close. And... yes, I have every intention of emptying a clip of Hydrashock into the damn thing the first time I see it off a leash this spring.

If its already killed a cat then yes... either be ready to shoot it or like was said call animal control and say it killed your cat.
I like the breed when its raised responsibly, but in this case I think its to late for the dog already.

It sounds like these people are really responsible. Do you actually think they will take it in to the vet? 
It's sad when useless people have pets, especially pets that could harm someone. I would call the police/SPCA whatever and report them. The dog is dangerous and should be in a home where it has structure and love.

It could just be prey drive and not aggression, the main worry is that a little kid's behavior could kick in prey drive. My male Husky has killed a couple of cats over the years, along with birds, squirrels, and even a possum. He's never been anything but a giant teddy bear with people even when my daughter uses him as a couch.

There are many many reasons why things like this don't happen where I live.
Most of you will deny the truth of the primary reason and I am not here to argue it with you.
One of the other reasons for why this doesn't happen where I live is that most of the people around here are licensed to carry firearms and will simply put an attacking dog down. Any kid who used a dog to "threaten people" around here would find himself dragging his dead dog home within about 5 minutes of trying to menace someone with it. This is as it should be. Those of you who disagree are simply arguing in favor of a place where such behavior is not only allowed, but tacitly encouraged.
