If so, did it work very well or is it a waste of money? All of a sudden this year I am thinning out on top rapidly. I blame Fukushima and radiation fallout but who knows. Regardless... I want my hair to grow back or at the very least stop the loss.

My brother tried it back in the 90s. He's as bald as a billiard ball at this time.

No, I'm not balding. Though I would just go bald gracefully

Huge -- I've had a light spot right at my crown since... forever. Literally since my teen years, it is just how my hair looks. When I started to lose a little more naturally up top around 35, I tried some Rogaine to fill in the gaps. Went 3 months, and I didn't see squat. Someone told me you had to use it like 8-10 months straight before you saw much. When I did the math on the costs, I realized if I ever really give a crap, it would be about as cheap to just go and have the serious hair implant stuff done. It's several years later and I've still got just a hint of scalp peeking through, if you look at me from one side. So, screw it. I'll wait til I care then decide to shave it all, or implant. One thing I won't be though is one of those combover or 'mangy hole in the hair' dudes. It's either there, or it ain't.

I use it. With generics it isn't that expensive. I don't feel like it is growing any hair back, but I do feel like it stopped the loss. Up to you whether you want to pay for it. With generics it is only about 25 bones a month now though.

I've used it for years, but I made an error. I trusted my old friend who said it was a suppository - Now I just have a huge bush of asshair, but I am balding in other places. Let this be a lesson to you all.

I never used Rogaine, but I did use this for a bit: It's a minoxidil solution. I think it's 5% is a recall correctly. You put a dropper full on your trouble area 2 times a day. One bottle lasts about a month, and 2 bottles come in a box. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it wasn't much. Like maybe 20 bucks, but we got it at a wholesale beauty supply place that only licensed stylists can shop at so I don't know how much it'll cost for the average consumer. I had a similar experience to GC. It didn't really seem like my hair got thicker, but it didn't seem to get any thinner either. Eventually I got tired of it and decided I'd let nature take it's course. Instead of looking for stuff that probably isn't going to do what you want it to do I would consider talking to a hair stylist about products that can give your hair a thicker appearance. There are many, and they are significantly cheaper. They'll probably do as much, if not more, to improve your appearance.

I really need something to bring back some of what I lost. Before I realized how quickly I was losing hair it was too late. Try rocking a high and tight that is thinning on top and balding in the back. It's fukt up looking. I'm not sure how long I went out in public looking like that but I had an o-shit moment when my wife mentioned that I might be losing some hair. I contorted my neck and used two mirrors to see the back of my head and it was wtf. Didn't look horrible but it wasn't perfect like I wanted it to be. I just use a #2 all the way around nowadays. Still... it's baffling how quickly this all happened. I thought the advertisements said that 85% of men kept the hair they had or regrew some tho? Meh. Getting old sucks. I'm only 36 and 1/2!
