Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

The cable series about cancer starring Laura Linney. Never watched it while it aired but the series hit Netflix and have been watching the episodes with the wife. Halfway into the first season I am loving it. Pretty funny writing for such a serious subject. Some of the characters are over the top, but its done to keep it light. Laura Linney is vastly under rated imo. She is almost always fun to watch. If you haven't checked it out before, give it a viewing.

I remember my grandmother begging me to kill her as she was wasting away from cancer. I was 7 at the time. I don't see how you can make funny out of cancer.

I've watched a few family members and friends die of cancer. I can still have a good laugh at it. Besides I'm sure they aren't laughing at cancer. Just because someone is sick doesn't mean they have to lose their sense of humor. One of the things I hated the most about watching my grandfather die was the way everyone just walked around like zombies. I didn't want to sit around and be sad. I wanted to laugh and play even though he was lying in bed out of his mind on pain meds waiting to die. If I ever find myself in his situation I think I'll off myself so I don't have to watch everyone wallow in misery. It's got to be just as depressing as the cancer killing them.
