(CBS News) An Arkansas political campaign manager was shocked to discover his family pet with one side of its head bashed in -- and the word "liberal" scribbled across the corpse in paint.
Jacob Burris has served as Ken Aden's campaign manager since October 2011. Aden, a Democrat, is currently running for Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District.
"To kill a child's pet is just unconscionable," Aden said in an official statement. "As a former combat soldier ( ), I've seen the best of humanity and the worst of humanity. Whoever did this is definitely part of the worst of humanity."
Burris told the Blue Arkansas Blog that one of his younger children found the pet ( ), an adult, mixed-breed Siamese cat, on their front porch. He said the children are doing fine, but he is not taking the threat lightly.
"I've got a gun and I know how to use it," Burris told Blue Arkansas. "If I have to protect my kids, I'll do it without hesitation."

nah...theres a difference between taking politics seriously and being a sick enough f**k to kill someones pet. if someone can kill a pet without any remorse like that theres something fundamentally wrong with them anyway. the cat has nothing to do with the politics and if they're effed in the head enough that they just see a pet as a thing to be broken to make a point they're already so disconnected from their humanity that their views on anything aren't worth squat.

Many times people commit these acts because they have been failed by the mental health system. Not all, but it does happen. i wish i could do that with my cats. my black cat is like the cat version of sooz. if she doesn't go outside, she pisses on everything in the house and has constant uti problems from stressing herself out about not going outside. and she beats the other cat and both dogs up if they get near her if she's not allowed outside. she comes home every day with new cuts from getting in fights and once i had to take her to the vet because she must have fallen on something or someone caught her and abused her, because she had cuts in a pattern all over her stomach and chest. it was like she fell on a smaller chain link fence that was made of razors. it sucks for me because she's my baby girl and i have to let her kill herself early.

The funny thing is, when i met you i had just been fired from one job because my symptoms were getting out of control, i was paranoid as heck and was generally having quite a bad time of it. But being ill with this from such a young age, and not ever talking about it means that when i need to, you'd never even think i was ill, im that good at hiding it.
Also im fairly certain when we drove through Spokane, that Wolfz was going to kill someone, WA has some really, really bad drivers
