Pretty sweet stuff. Apparently the solar wind from a solar flare last week (I think) magnified the lights. I really need to see these first hand sometime http://vimeo.com/35477433 http://vimeo.com/35461012

Pretty amazing. I've seen the northern lights and I understand why a man would believe in a god after doing so.

not sure what caused it but about 15 years ago there was an episode that you could see the "northern light" in southern Nevada/Utah area it was amazing.

Depending on the strength of the solar winds, they're able to be seen farther and farther south. Was reading an article about solar flares and the strongest flare in history was in 1859, and they said that the aurora was able to be seen as far south as Central America and in the Caribbeans. Article also cited a pretty powerful storm in '89, could that be it?

Why would a fully explainable scientific event make someone believe in god?
