You're right.
Anonymous ain't so anonymous anymore. These days they allow people to join their 'fight' and give them tools to flood a server with requests. It's a simple tool that anyone with some computer skills can master. Their LOIC (short for 'Low Orbit Ion Cannon') program is an server request attacker with an anonymonizer IP tool built-in.
But they aren't using LOIC anymore because they feel that program may be compromised with all these new recruits. They're going back to old-school ways of things by running server-side scripts and using VPN's to mask their IP address.
This is absolutely nothing new, but I'm not certain how they overtake a website. I'm sure if a site is unsecure, and crashes, they can access the root files somehow - they did that with universalmusic.com yesterday, and removed all the images from the site and the site reverted to 'maintenance' mode.
It's only a matter of time before they recruit FBI agents and they infiltrate Anonymous' very own website.

You don't get it and you don't know what Anonymous is. Don't feel bad, neither does the media or the government or anyone else. Much of Anonymous probably doesn't know what Anonymous is.

You don't get it and you don't know what Anonymous is. Don't feel bad, neither does the media or the government or anyone else. Much of Anonymous probably doesn't know what Anonymous is.
