So said my Mum on Skype this morning 
Since i started meditating and being mindful of my emotions/ emotional responses to things, plus being on the right meds at last, i finally am as sane as im ever going to get. I havent felt this calm, or this happy in years. And it's holding, it's been almost a month now. Now to hope it lasts

most of them overmedicate because they're in constant pain and the drugs stop working as well over time and doctors just increase dosages rather than rotate them to new meds.

Yeah, for that reason i still have to be closely monitored and i have to go to therapy regularly to make sure i stay on track. There is, also, always a chance that one of the meds will poop out and i'll relapse, which sucks.

i'm not, actually. i won't claim there's no physical addiction, as there is. but i'm not mentally addicted to anything and the only pill i'm on that makes me high at all is ambien. i've completely adjusted to percocet and get no sort of stonedness from it anymore unless i take way more than is necessary to relieve pain.
