I didn't even realize it was new years. I coudln't figure WTF the gunfire sounds were outside and then somebody mentioned fireworks and it clicked.
I was reading a book for new years.

Went out for dinner and a movie, then drank champagne in the hot tub. Gotta say it was really nice not having my hubby work on New Year's for the first time in recent memory, I got my  at midnight and started the new year off right.
