We had ham, meatballs, potato salad,boiled shrimp,spinach-artichoke dip. We grazed all day long.
We get the best little french breads (pistolettes) from a Vietnamese bakery in New Orleans. We freeze them, then when we need them, we take them out and pop them in the oven. Like they were fresh baked.

We had turkey this year which was a first. We always have ham and lots of salads and something roasted
I cooked prawns on the BBQ and some corn. We were meant to have a whole snapper but there was a minor disaster

I'd be very happy if I were in Sweden and they served me the "boring Swedish cuisine",I've smelled what you eat when you feel adventurous(Surströmming).
A couple friends(from Sweden) have gotten a hold of 3 cans of Surströmming and are planning on opening them and sharing/inflicting them on their close friends and coworkers on new years. ..honestly I'd try it if I could but I couldn't willing put anything that smelled that bad in my mouth,I'd throw it up before I ever got a real taste of it.I'm gonna go way out of my way not to be there for at least 3 hours after the cans have been opened.
