Not even sure exactly what my old mouse is. Logitech M103 ... maybe? I'm ready to buy a new one. I game and I do a fair amount of word processing. I've looked at Cyborg, Razor, and of course Logitech and MS. I would be interested in your comments, suggestions. Thanks

Some people need to use certain sized and shaped mice. For me, I really need to use larger dome shaped mice, like most of Logitech's. So I love my G500. Other people like smaller, flatter mice like many of Razer's mice. So I think it'll be more about what feels comfortable to you than what other people like.

I'll second the G500. Perfect mouse imo.

Using mice is an entirely subjective experience. For example, I strongly dislike regular mice and instead use this type of trackball. My point being that this is an instance of going to a retail shop and getting a feel for what works for you.

It depends also on how many buttons you want to use, and whether you prefer wireless or not.
I have a Logitech MX518 mouse on one machine and a simpler MS mouse on the other, in each case wired as I can't be bothered with recharging batteries etc.

This. I have to have a smaller mouse for gaming. I bought a basic logitech gaming mouse, not sure what model. But it is one of the larger dome shaped mice like Ravy described. I just couldn't use it for gaming. I ended up getting a logitech G9x and using the smallest grip/cover that came with it. I don't really need any of extra features that came with it. I bought it for the size and feel.

I use the Logitech G700 Wireless laser gaming mouse. Love it because I have a gaming laptop and desktop so I can use it on either system I am on. Performs great

Razer Naga I love the 17 buttons and it's comfortable with the ergonomic design but it's a small mouse if you got big hands .

I used to be a die-hard Logitech user, however with a laptop I bought in 2010, I got a Razer Death Adder. It sat there for a while (until a Logitech mouse's buttons got clicky) and I stuck the Death Adder in. Nice mouse.

I loved all those buttons and found them easy to learn to use. I only wished they made a larger version, since I like larger mice. I was surprised at how small it was. I guess all the more impressive that it has 17 buttons.

anyone had the horrible stories i've read reviews of the razer mice? lots of people saying their's have died or end up being broken in a few months where the buttons double/triple click whenever you push them or just having buttons stop working altogether... then those same people saying the customer service is horrible and taking like 2.5 weeks to get an RMA? edit: I ask because i was about to purchase a razer mouse until i started reading reviews and it sounds like they have a lot of problems with most not lasting a year.

My imperator just recently started doing the doubleclick thing, but thats after 2 years of consecutive, daily use. Overall they have been very solid for me.
