picked up Tebow and traded him to another team for Fitzgerald.
That guy had lots of good receivers at the time and literally had no quarterback.

also traded Jackie Battle for Josh Freeman (just to have a decent backup qb)
and Eric Decker for Darious Heyward-Bey (literally had every receiver/person on my bench on bye or hurt in week 6 and that was best deal I could come up with.

It really depends on the size of league you're in and the level of non noobs.
I'm in a 16 man league with some very seasoned vets for the last 8 or 9 years and it's getting to the point where I don't want to play anymore. Waiver wire resets to middle of the week so no first come first serve pick ups on game days, and the teams with the worst records get first picks each week. There is literally nothing left if you're above .500 on the year and need a filler for a bye. Worse yet the LM allows 5 slots for RB, which is beyond absurd imo.
The best WW/FA pick up right now is a back up QB and a #3 WR from Jacksonville. Zero RB's and 4 DEFs that suck. It really isn't even fun at this point and if you lose one of your top 2 draft picks your season is basically over.
