Blizzard cancelled the transaction, deleted all of the cubs from my inventory (I bought 20) and sent me a GM email saying I was using my account for explotative activity of the economy. Funny thing is they said my account is now banned (which it isnt) too. I messaged them three times trying to figure out what happened but they insisted they were in the right and my account is now banned.
Did I miss the memo from them where we are not allowed to sell these on the AH at all? Ive been looking but havent seen one.

Also, it?s important to note that we take a firm stance against buying gold from outside sources because in most cases, the gold these companies offer has been stolen from compromised accounts. While some players might be able to acquire some extra gold by putting the Guardian Cub in the auction house, that?s preferable to players contributing to the gold-selling ?black market? and account theft.

I think the key here is the huge number he bought (20) basically flagging himself as a gold seller. If he had bought one or two, sold them and then bought a couple more he would probably sailed under the Blizzard radar.

Blizzard has some sort of program that will auto ban accounts if certain "exploitative" things occur. If you phone in a call and explain what happened, they will forward the info onto someone higher up and they should unban your account . . in like a day

Yeah, just talked to them. The guy I talked to was probably the most professional customer service rep I have ever dealt with. He said they flagged the CC I used due to the two large purchases. Their system saw potential credit card fraud activity. Dealing with that rep made the whole thing, not a big deal.

its good to see that some places actually think about stuff like that though.. it is a legitimate worry, specially for something like that... though if its the same card you had your sub on i think it would be silly.
now.. i do hate it when ppl try to use cards for stupid piss ant purchases (like a pack of gum), and it comes up with a bank authorization thing that takes 10 minutes to resolve...

Always happens to me with my BoA card. I purchase something out of the ordinary, like a plane trip for a vacation or something, then I go to purchase some small $5 item and it's denied. I call them up, and the cite suspicious activity... grr.

Exactly. Noone cares anymore because they either:
1. Don't play it.
2. Have so much money because of the current state of the game it's a non-issue.
I've never bought gold, and haven't played in a couple months. Yet I have like 120k+ on one server.

I think you are probably correct. People used to scream to high heaven that they day blizzard opened a cash shop or sanctioned gold buying they would leave the game for good.
I guess they made good on their threats

While 20 is a lot the blue post did not say there was a limit. I think they need to quickly rethink this. Then again we only have the posters word that this is true. If it is true I hope they can fix it and give him or her a refund.

The transaction was reversed, so I didnt pay for them. Hopefully it didnt come out that I didnt get a refund in my original post. The thing that kills me is you can order at least 20 at a time (I think more like 100 at a time but havent checked) by using the Blizzard Store scroll down window. The CSR even said it was a problem for a lot of other people who are trying to sell in game for gold. He said they are working out the kinks and hope to have some fixes soon. What that means I dont know. I suggested they limit the total to 4 or 5 per 24 hours if they were concerned with CC fraud.
