So i got a new comp, vtank and everythign installed fine, no red x's, but when i try to start AC with ecal on, i make aout as far as the character selection screen then get an error saying AC has stopped working... what could the problem be?

not famaliar with what ecal is or what it stands for????
did you install decal and the plugins as instructed in the sticky? i.e., to a location other then c:\.... default directory?

first thing I saw was:

Go to virindi's site and follow the uninstall instructions and reinstall the bundle.

Did you install decal you a diffrent directory than program files ??? It is recomended that you intall AC and decal to a diffrent folder like C:\Games. I did AC first and made sure it was working and then I did decal and made sure it wouls start and AC would run and then I added the plugins.
