http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/09/transformer-prime-detailed-10-inch-super-ips-display-12-hour/ ASUS's new Transformer tablet looks very impressive. 10.1 inch 1280x800 Super IPS+ display Android 3.2 Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core 1GB memory 32 or 64GB storage 8MP back, 1.2MP front cameras mini HDMI micro SD 12 hour battery 8.3mm thick 586 grams silver or black aluminum bodies $500 for 32GB model $600 for 64GB model Launches in December It's thinner and lighter than both the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1. And really nice specs. Looks good too. I don't quite understand the logic of launching with Android 3.2. Especially when the original Transformer is getting Android 4 in December? But hopefully an Android 4 update would be coming soon after launch. One good thing about ASUS is they had been pretty quick with updates on the original Transformer. There is no cheaper 16GB model this time, kinda odd. Overall though, looks amazing.

I like the keyboard you can attach to it for easy typing, as well as greatly extended battery life.

Looks like ASUS gets my money. Sorry Verizon/Samsung, too slow.

Does this have any ability to connect to verizon (or a similar isp) ? I don't have a tablet (yet)...but can't fathom the inability to connect to traditional internet sources.

Looks nice. I might get this for my wife for Christmas instead of a laptop. One question though, does Flash work on Android devices? If Flash doesn't work or will be problematic I'll have to go with the laptop.

It works for Android 2.2 to 3.2. Android 4.0 does not yet have Flash support. It's waiting for an update from Adobe, but should have it soon enough.

Ravy, what is your opinion on the original Transformer? BestBuy is selling them for $250 tomorrow and I am seriously considering trying to get one. Would you recommend it? Or is it worth waiting to spend a bit more on one of these?

Of all the Honeycomb tablets, it was tied for my favorite (Galaxy Tab 10.1 the other). There were some things I didn't quite like about it. - The speaker positioning was poor, they were weak, and one side was even weaker than the other. Hopefully at least the balance issue has been resolved by now. And there are some volume apps that will boost the volume some more. - Holding it in portrait mode was a bit uncomfortable with the squared edges of the bezel digging into my palm. - The glass is not coated, so isn't smooth feeling and finger prints are difficult to wipe off. - Proprietary USB connection. - Tegra 2 processors have difficulty with 1080P and some 720P video playback. And the good points. + Naturally the price, this was $100 cheaper than other tablets at the time. + Has micro SD and mini HDMI ports. + Light weight and comfortable to hold in landscape. + Good looking IPS display. + Mostly stock Android (very little skinning or bloatware). + ASUS very fast with updates. And ASUS will be updating the original Transformer with Android 4.0 before the end of the year. Most of it's good points far outweighted the bad points with the Transformer.

I have the original Transformer and love it. If you don't want to drop 500 bucks for the Prime, $250 is a great deal on the original.

Awesome, thank you. I'm not sure how many they have in stock, but if they still have one when I get there I will be buying it. Can't beat a 10-inch tablet for the same price as a Nook Tablet lol.
