forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

I am conning back to play fresh and new after almost 2 years. So what add-on's should I get and use. Think I am going to start with a Warlock have never played one so any help as to what has also changed would be great.

other than that...i don't think i use anything else anymore. if you hit max level and start raiding maybe something like deadly boss mods.

I haven't used default UI in a very long time. Does it track cooldowns for you? Not the "oh hey I'm greyed out so I'm not up" thing. I find cooldown count to be super nice to see time remaining on abilities. Also Miks Scrolling Battle text or SCT just for the sake of reducing screen spam if you're a healer - more so a resto druid.
Getting things such as Quartz and a player frame mod are helpful just to be able to move things (cast bars, health bars) to a more centralized location. Not required in anyway, just more so you can see important things at a glance without trying to shift your eyes all over the screen.
If you choose to hit the raiding scene, BigWigs or DBM will be fairly helpful.
Other than that, I can't see needing to consider much else.

I just reinstalled and setup a bunch of addons I find useful that I've used on and off over the years along with a couple new ones, I can list them when I get home later.

I just came back for the free 14 days. I grabbed the auto report one (BadBoy), Skada (recount sort of plugin), IceHud, CastBars, TidyPlates, and OmniCC. Then on a whim, I gave MikScrollingBattleText a try. Spent my lunch hour today configuring IceHud just right. See how it goes tonight when I play.
Like was mentioned, you don't need any of these.

You don't NEED any addons but they sure do make the game more enjoyable since you can setup your screen the way you want to instead of the way Blizzard wants to set it up. I use a ridiculous amount of addons and I have my entire screen customized except for the chat box and the compass.

Here goes: Bartender 4, Altaholic, Advanced Trade Skill Window, Addon Control Panel, AtlasLoot, Auctionator, Deadly Boss Mods, Decursive, Carbonite, Gatherer, Move Anything, Omen Threat Meter, OmniCC, Preform AV, Recount, Pawn, Titan Panel, Tiptac, X-Perl Unit Frames.
Some new ones I'm trying out: DrDamage, Critline, Examiner, XtoLevel, SilverDragon, RatingBuster, PlayerScore, Healbot, Grid, and Archy.
