it stops when i get to the screen with the double blue bars. if i alt tab then go back in game i can get to the character creation screen then it fails saying a fatal error occured.
ive uninstalled/reinstalled decal and updated it via configure and decal utilities. what can i do to get it working?
it would be a shame to quit ac :P

Decal Problems Please Help!

How do i do a decal export?
I get to the blue bars before character selection screen and have to alt tab then go back to the game. when i click on enter world i have to click it a bunch of times. once it tries to go into the game it says could not initialize direct 3D. please ensure that direct x 9.0 or higher is installed. then it says the game encountered a fatal directX issue while attempting to start. try a different screen resolution or bit depth. if that doesnt work, try new video drivers.

You are using a BETA version of Decal (ends in 6.5) there are a few users reporting a crash with this version, myself included.
Download the STABLE version (6.0), uninstall the beta version, then install the stable version.
If you ever crash while running the beta version of a program, the smartest thing to do is not run the beta version.

yes i do. it goes to the screen with the double blue bars and stays there while the next page is making noise like it hsould be on the next page. then i alt tab and come back to the game and try to enter the world and get the crash.

Uninstall decal, then find the decal registry cleaner linked on the forums here somewhere and run it.
Then install the stable decal version.

i have uninstalled both decal and asherons call and reinstalled them. i used ccleaner etc.
now the message im getting is acclient stopped working right after i click enter world.

i ran the reg cleaner and reinstalled decal. when i went in game with just decal it worked fine.
i downloaded VTANK and vtank had me download a c++ redist package
now im having problems again
