I wasn't going to watch this, as I have zero interest in the PK scene. (Guess I think it's more of a guy thing). But was bored and decided to watch just a couple of minutes of it. I ended up watching the whole thing, and I LOVED it. Very well done!!!

Thank you Was really fun to create!
I've started recording video of others fighting now - from a 3rd person view. This will be the focus of my next vid. But it will take some time to collect enough footage. I'll be hosting events over the next couple of weeks. So everyone come on out even if you have never pkled before:) Will be fun and there will be lots of great give aways and rewards.

Lol <3 thanks Car! Come be in the second video. Shooting footage over the next couple of weeks. I'm not fighting in these fights - just acting as a camera man. There will be lots of cool events and contests to come. Speaking of which we need more ideas for contests... Locations? Rules? Etc... Anyone have any great ideas? So far we have done: - FFA at Neydisa Castle. 20min time limit most kills wins. - Bandit Castle on main octagon roof. Naked FFA Magic only & Huge team battle

This would be a sick location: Celebration Castle And to make things more interesting: There are little brown tiles which instantly portal you to the pavillion in the Wedding Chapel! So if you get portaled out.. You are out for that round! Also Blackmancer recommended Health Ring battle in Asheron's Castle! The interesting thing about this location is... The Sleeping Guardian;P You know someone will wake him!

We could also have a match here: Only problem is you have to be red.. Not sure if we have the numbers willing to go red. Safe location for people to watch from. There are also levers in this area that open and close doors - so people watching can screw with the fighters;P Furthermore if we do have enough who want 2 go red... An interesting game would be I create a SPECIAL very high valued item that drops on death. And whoever has this item when time runs up - Wins the contest! You would be able to come back after death. A capture the flag game is also idea to think about? How would it work? Location? Rules?

Have like 5on5, and a NPK. When all 5 are dead the NPK hands over an item. Have the 2 teams choose a town as a location. Then teams would have to send out a scout. Which could lead to fights in TN......lol.

Car - You are going to want to come back for this <3 It will be sick - A REAL WORKING capture the flag game! I assure you! I'll be releasing the details/mechanics/rules/locations soooon. Fairly_Gimp posted: Is that all recent footage, or is some of it old'ish?
like 95% of the footage was from 2 days fri-sat. 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I then put the vid together over the long weekend - and shot alittle more to fill in the gaps.

As tempting as that sounds, not burning up to play AC right now. Still not feeling the draw like I had once upon a time... I miss the people some, but to expensive for 3 hours a month...

i love the alternative ideas for pvp. This is one of the best things about Asherons Call, it is so open ended. Players can use their creativity to make the game fun and interesting in ways that the developers never thought of. kudos to you for thinking of this and for making it a reality. Other ideas: 1. Low level pk fun: set a max level for the event like 20 or 30 (takes 10 minutes to get to 30 now). Have everyone go red for the event and relive some pk like it was in 2000. 2. No Radar: This one is impossible to enforce and requires players to trust one another, but can certainly be done in the small scale. Set a place for a pvp fight and then have all of the participants phsically cover the radar on their screen with a piece of paper. PvP with no radar allows players to actually hide from other players in areas like towns etc. I can remember doing this once with some of my friends in a town and one of them ran into a building, took off his armor and stood at a vendor window. I walked right past him because he looked exactly like a vendor and then he got the jump on me. (Also for this you need to outlaw target nearest player keys) 3. The Chase: One Red player has a number of parchments. He/she must deliver them to various white players in different towns/areas. The Red player is being chased by all of the other red players participating. It is their goal to kill him before he can deliver all of the parchments. This one is fun because it gives you the element of chasing someone and stopping them from achieving a goal (or being chased), and it also gets some of the other white players on the server involved because they can supply info to the chasers as to the whereabouts of the renegade. The chasing team can split up and try to defend the various drop points or they can chase him to each one. Other great locations for pvp events: 1. Elevated platforms: a set of them near Sanamar, off to the side of Crystalline Crag, Wedding Area etc., (if you hit the ground you are out)

Yeah I'm not sure if anyone remembers this far back, but at one time monsters did not appear as an orange dot on your radar until they started moving towards you. So basically if you didnt see that sandstone golem laying down behind a tree, you wouldn't know it was there until it popped up to say hello. This made running through the wilderness particularly dangerous. While the idea of "no radar pk" might seem far-fetched, radar invisibility in a limited sense used to be a fundamental part of the game. And in my opinion, it really added an element of anticipation and surprise to the game which I miss. I don't like to know whats around every corner.

That is interesting. I do not remember that. But I would have been just a kid back then - I used to play over at my friends place. Played in beta very briefly.. but I was like 10 lol. My rents didn't have a PC - They had a Mac:( And AC back then did not work on a Mac. To my knowledge atleast.
