Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

I'm curious. I've seen a lot of variation in what healers are spamming the most per class. Of course I've also seen a lot of varitions in hps and healing ability.
So if you would be so kind and share class, spec and top two heals you use in general I would most appreciate it.
And spec only matters so far as preists, everyone's resto or holy anyway.

Priest, holy
My most used heal is Heal. I only have to go to Greater Heal as my main heal when there's an average geared tank who thinks he can take large groups with no CC. And he's blastedly lucky I'm a good healer.
I keep renew on the tank always and sometimes on the melee as well.
I use HW:Serenity every cooldown.
And always lightwell on bosses. <3
Edit: ^ That's heroics. If we're talking raids then my rotation changes depending on if I'm tank healing or group healing.

Changed my spec to Disc for PVP a while ago. Stepped in ZulGurub yesterday for the first time PVE'ing in ages and found it awful... Tank taking too much damage, I was casting Flash heal 90% of the time to keep him alive, nowhere near as good a spec as Holy for PVE!

Renew+Shield+Heal+Serenity works a dream in Holy and the AOE are just plain awesome for grp damage! Plus, Serendipity is an underrated talent... if if hits the fan, two Flash and a GH will top up most tanks pretty damn quickly!

I've been leveling a priest. He's 76 now, holy.
I've got a feeling this will change with raids but so far I've found healing to extremely easy and a bit boring.
I'll use Chakra and cast heal on someone to have Sanctuary on tap "just in case".
After that its pretty much two buttons .. Prayer of Mending and Circle of healing. It seems both of these are on 3 second times and use little manna. If the tank is doing his/her job its pretty easy. Casting Prayer of Mending on the tank heals them every time they take damage. If some one else takes damage, it heals them too (5 times total I think). Then, 1.5 seconds later I cast Circle of Healing that tosses a heal on the entire group. Then I'm ready with another Prayer of Mending. I alternate between the two and, short and of stupidity, this heals through almost anything.
If someone does get "stupid" and looses LOS or grabs aggro from the tank and gets hit really hard, Sanctuary tops them off quickly and the two button cycle continues. Occasionally I toss in a fade on myself if I grab aggro or a Shield if I can't shake aggro or the tank is slow pulling it off.
Keep in mind that Power Word:Shield is counter productive when used with Prayer of Mending because your target (e.g. Tank) has to take damage for PoM to work and PW:S absorbs damage.
Right now at this level, I seem to be over healing a great deal just using spamming this two spell combo so I'm expecting it to work at least for a few more levels. Right now I'm thinking POM is the best thing since sliced bread since it can be tossed once and it takes care of the next 5 heals for you in priority of need. You just have to trust it.

Id guess you are healing WoTLK dungeons? Even with my crappy disc priest, I was able to run those very quickly due to the class changes they made before Cata came out. They were pretty /faceroll easy, even for someone like me with a garbage character setup. I attempted to heal the first non heroic Cata dungeon and have to say, I just sucked at it.

It'll get more challenging when you get to current content. In the meantime when you're bored of just healing you can always activate your smite chakra. ^_^

I normally use Neosporin Antibacterial Ointment and Curad brand band aids (they are cheaper than band aid brand and stay on just as well).

Yes but are those bandaids Dora or Toy Story?
I ran into a priest who's top heal was renew....in a 25m raid. Needless tos ay she ran out of mana fast and she was at the rock bottom of the healing meter. As a tank I almost outhealed her. But then I am a self healing rock.

on my druid from 1-70 i just spammed rejuv and swiftmend as i ran around in circles. i find healing kind of fun in pve since it feels like i am a pet class with 4 pets that i don't need to control but it gets a little boring when all i gotta do is click 2 instant spells
