Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

I personally had a very quiet (figuratively speaking) 4th. Stayed home rather than go to the fairgrounds and every time someone on my street popped off an illegal firecracker my two dogs tried to get into my lap. Since they are not little dogs, this was not comfortable, but it was kind of amusing.
What did you all do?

I made no plans. Sat at home sipped back on some brewski's while keeping the pipe freshly loaded and would go outside every now and then play with the dog for 15-20 minuts but he'd eventually get distracted by the shiny lights in the sky and the booms. My dog is very strange. He's a gigantic husky(half wolf) He's scared of the dark but I went out to check on him a few times last night and he was sprawled out on the lawn watching the fireworks. They didn't bother him a big. The fireworks where pretty crazy around my house though. I seriously felt like I was playing battlefield or MW2 or something. So many super loud bangs and booms. It seriously sounded like a war zone.

I came back from an 8 day, 3400.1 mile road trip that started in Oregon, went through Missoula, MT; Yellowstone National Park; Jackson, WY; Moab, UT; Arches N. P.; Antelope Canyon; Grand Canyon N. P.; Las Vegas, NV; and then home in time for the 4th of July fireworks. Pictures of the trip can be seen at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/67399255@N00/sets/72157627009409031/ Hot diggity dog!

There's a burn ban in Texas, so no fireworks. Kind of lame, actually. But we partied all night anyway.
