Ugh.

We're impulse resubscribers. It's really hard to impulsively resubscribe when your billing system is onebigfatARSE, Turbine.


The system was unable to update your billing information. Please verify your billing information and try again later. If you continue to experience this error, you may wish to try another credit card or contact your issuing bank. To request further assistance, please visit support.turbine.com. [err: 30005]


I've tried every damned combination I can think of - With my middle initial, without, the full postal code, three different credit cards (two debit cards, one credit, in case it matters to anyone).

The most sadly amusing part? Turbine's now trying to pass the buck onto credit card issuers, saying that it's their fault. Hahahahahahah.

We have seen this error appear for several reasons. We have recently updated our security checks in order to help prevent fraud, and we now have very strict verifications.

It may mean that the billing and card information that you are providing doesn't match the information that your credit card company has on file. We recommend you call the number on the back of your card and confirm that the information you are entering is the same as what the card company has on file for online purchase verification. Please note that this may be your billing address, or it may be different. It may also mean that your card company is declining the verification for some reason. You can check for this when you call to confirm your account details are the same.

Alternatively, it may be that the IP address you are entering the information from isn't recognized as being near the billing address you are entering. We often see this happen for students and when people are traveling. If this is the case, it may be easiest to have someone you trust (close friend or family) update the billing information, and then change your password.

Once you have spoken to the card company, we encourage you to try updating the information online again. Please be sure you are using Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer as your web browser when viewing any Turbine websites.

You should be able to update your credit card information via the Account Management website following these directions:

1. Go to https://myaccount.turbine.com

2. Log into your account in the “Manage Your Turbine Account” section with the username and password that you use to log into the game

3. Click the blue box at the top of the page that says 'Payment Method'. You can find this next to the 'Home' button

4. Enter your new credit card information, and billing information if applicable. Please be sure to enter your information exactly as it appears on your card and your statements

5. Click the 'Submit' button when you are done.

Oh, I know. The last time we resubscribed we spent two hours on the phone to spend four or five minutes having four accounts taken care of. It's asininely ridiculous, not only that they can't manage to have a billing system that functions, but that we have to go through the same thing again.

Happened to me on LotRO, I called them and waited literally 30 seconds, told them the issue, and it was fixed. Less than 2 minutes on the phone.

lol i know right i just moved to washington courthouse, ohio and like to never figured out it was suppost to be input as Washington CH.... like really took me like 3 hours to figure it out. i almost called them but i didnt wanna wait another 3 hours

I just wanted to Say i called AC's CS and it took 5 mins for 3 accounts the guy was great and made sure the fixes worked. letting me log all 3 accounts while he waited on the line. two thumbs up for them. You should try calling them again

It is a royal pain.

I have a few accounts I rotate , one account in particular never updates correctly and I have to call.

Been like that for years, nothing new.

I went round and round one time with them and they finally said there are others that have same issue.
So some of us are buggy, I know its a bug because I use same CC on other accounts and they never have that same issue.
