This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

Been playing SSF4 over the past month. First game in a long time thats made me consider game skill as important over perhaps game time, which MMORPGs, it can be argued, develop game ability.
I was never accomplished at DOAC and it has been a long time where I've thought my skill over the game has made me win.
For a DAOC reference I managed to kill 2 hibs as an earth theurgist pre-boosts in 2003 that stick in my memory, so my question is what demonstration of skill in any game sticks in your memory as worthy?
(I swear to god I'll finish Chun Li's trials before months end)

SSF4 requires a ridiculous amount of skill. Super fast reflexes and hand-eye coordination. I am terrible at it.

My sister keeps beating me as Blanka cuz she blocks everything and sneaks up on me. Then she turns into a lightning ball and zaps me to pieces non stop. Then her bar goes on full and she does something that creates this like.. 4 second cartoon looking scene where she flips out and beats all my hp's in a big hit and I get mad and never play that crap.

When I was 13 or 14 I slapped some kid in the face for cheesing me in Mortal Kombat in front of his friends...At least I don't hit people anymore...

In sc2 I basically am working on perfecting 1 base play before ever considering expanding and everyone is like gf cheesy 1 base all in (7 roach rush, which is not all in at all) and so many qqs
When you get into a game like ssf4 it is all skill and not investing time to have 5 abilities or pieces of gear that your opponent doesn't have.
Wow is all about your numbers, are yours better than his? Then you are probably gonna win, ssf4 and mvc2, so much timing reflex and read react skill is needed it makes wow and other mmos look like barbies horse adventure
