I have GOT to come up with one. I have crap scattered all over the place, no conventional naming scheme or anything else.

so what's your work flow from getting the pics off your camera, all the way to post production?

May the bridges I burn light my way
Isolated in defiance, I will remain
May the bridges I burn light my way
I will never comply, I'll forever defy

Depends on the client, and whether im working with RAWS or JPGs, but sorta like this.

1) Download CF / SD cards to computer main hard drive.

2) Classify images by shoot date - type - client.

3) Move a copy of renamed images to server farm based off type (sorted in JPG's and RAWS, usually copies of both)

4) Open Lightroom, import initial copies still on main computer hard-drive. Start my base edits as I do very little PP in Lightroom. Usually just cropping, vignette tweaks and curve adjustments. Export new copies in two sets, 1 set at 900 x 600 Horiz 200 DPI and 600 x 900 Vert 200 dpi, and another full res set at 300 dpi for print.

5) Open Photoshop. Manipulate 200DPI internet sized versions for sexyness and upload to private gallery on andrewsnucins.com

6) Delete initial main hardrive copies as we now have edited sets on the main and backup raw sets on the server farm. Catagorize main edits into folders for internet sized copies and print copies, file on main hard drive for one week before moving to backup server farm once files are delivered to clients.

7) Eat pancakes, make out with super models, and go dancing.

I'd say I do about 90 percent of my work in Lightroom.

When I put in my cf card it automatically pops up to load them into LR and save them.

First thing I do is do a quick sort through where I give 5 stars to pictures I love, 4 to ones I like enough to edit and forget about the rest for the time being. Then I go through and do any adjustments like cropping and straightening. Then I start to make adjustments on the pictures I really like such as adjusting exposure, clarity, boosting certain color levels, sharpness, etc. If the images allow it I sometimes sync settings to save time.

Once I get a picture where I like it I will load it into photoshop if it needs heavier retouching like fixing blemishes and dodging and burning but I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to photoshopping stuff.
