Wild swings at change and balance to me indicate these guys are fishing in the dark.

Come on. That's not even close. You have to make an adjustment by a factor of TEN?! What on earth were you basing your numbers on in the first place then?
To me this is just another illustration of how clueless this design team is right now. To be that far off? So essentially they are just pulling things out of their butts.
Activision is rushing Blizzard. I'm convinced of it.

Unfortunately they've been making wild swings like this since vanilla. My favorite example was pristine black diamonds. Went from impossible to get, to so-common-they-were-trash, and then back again.

Playing an MMO is like subscribing to a beta. You vets have been playing for 6 years and don't know this yet? Being part of an ever changing, ever expanding, ever evolving world means you are playing a 'work in progress'. And yes, you're paying for it. It is as part of the game as leveling up and doing quests is.
You can't expect a game that developers continually have to change and evolve to constantly be polished! Grow up! And if you don't like it .. UNSUBSCRIBE!!!
