We could also make an interface that would have various regions on your desk marked off with tape. Based upon where you slammed your forehead, it would activate a different special move... but why?

The movements don't really mimic the actually spells casted though, which I suppose makes sense. Wouldn't it be sweet to have some dude standing there waving his hands around in front of his tv to cast fireballs? lol.

It has some potential, if they just made to where your head controlled the camera movement for example that could even be used while still sitting at the keyboard, or if they made so that finger tips could be bound to keys so they you could hit or cast by making typing motions, leaning left, right, forward or back would move you in those directions etc..

While it's mostly gimmicky stuff, I think that a few years down the road it could make for some interesting games and maybe help further virtual reality. So that aspect is pretty cool.
Regarding its use for wow though, I don't think I'd want to use that simply because if something's going wrong in a dungeon, how am I supposed to turn and grab aggro off that player, or heal the guy getting beat up? Sure, you could eventually learn it, but can you imagine someone less agile trying to do all that?

I can foresee many useful applications. Three off the top of my head:
1. I stagger in drunk after a long night of poker at the neighbor's house and bust my ass walking through the den. Girlfriend gets up to investigate. I claim that I was playing WoW on Kinect and ran up against a boss with +5 knockdown.
2. I wander into my hot neighbor's bathroom late one evening as she showers after a hard night working second shift at the local hospital as a nurse. If (when) she protests, I merely claim that I was playing WoW and got "feared" in there, express my apologies, blame it on Lieutenant Drake in Old Hillsbrad Foothills and make a hasty exit.
3. My inevitable reaction to girlfriend's awful cooking may now be blamed on the poisoning I received from that sneaky rogue I just encountered in WSG.
I'm sure there are others.
