I've come across a couple, none I really remember, except of course Phat Trader, or that's who he said he was.

1) I never resubbed and started another guy, all my toons live on LC (other than DT)
2) I just came back and I was surprised how many people still play.
There are still plenty of people to do big quests, still tradebots etc.
I would LC is still very much alive and well!!

I think the biggest community is over on the Turbine AC ForumsTurbine AC Forums where the individual server forums are dead, but there's usually discussions on the main boards. If you want to know what's happening with AC, you need only read up on it at AC Wiki

I have no idea the actual numbers, but FF and HG have the highest white server populations, most evenings there's somewhere in the neighborhood of 180-220 accounts logged on, at high population times it's around 300. By comparison on a quiet night there were less than 100 accounts logged onto Leafcull.
I think changing the scenery was the right move for me. It let me enjoy a game that I never stopped loving without having to carry around the baggage from the past. I could leave my account on LC with all it's memories and "stuff" and start over with next to nothing.
The people who play now are not only die hard players who know a TON about the game, but a lot of people who came back to see what they missed.

I moved to frostfell a year ago, i use to play here on leafcull as elsinister and archmage rary, i play on frostfell as elsinister and archmage rary as well, but have many other toons. Other people from leafcull have also moved over to frostfell and are in same monarchy as me. If you roll a guy up on frostfell i can help you, i am in evil lady's monarchy. We are a huge monarchy with 4 buffbots/ portal bots at mansion, and a tinker at mansion. Usually 30+ people on allegiance chat during prime times and we do monarchy quests almost daily, sometimes 2-3 a night. We always have more than one fellow from monarchy only on quests. If you check out the marketplace on frostfell we usually have 20-30 tradebots up and running at all times, and you can buy almost anything in the game. Portal storms happen in market of a night and weekends, and live events are ridiculous as portal storms are the norm. Much more like the old days on frostfell and i am in best monarchy i have ever been in all the time i played AC since 2000. < currently i have been playing my x bow guy ( one bolt ) if you know me and want to contact me there >.
