I have record of what you told me and my kids. My oldest son read all your pm's to me to my wife. She has an intense dislike for you, and that would be an understatement.
You can't even parent your own kids, yet you presume to tell me how to parent mine?
I tried to be respectful when I left your guild. And honestly, given your treatment of my kids, that was hard to do.
You have manipulated the situation, and had the nerve to say that I did. I have always been honest and straight forward.

Ya know Clav, this is months old. You had a disagreement. You didn't get your way. You are supposed to be an adult. Let it drop. Go play the game or not. No one is harrassing you, but you are getting borderline.
And by the way, I have 3 kids that have played this game. ALL kids get on ppls nerves from time to time. My kids have been told no to quests, being in guilds and have been booted from guilds. They whine about it, I tell them its a learning experience. Getting your feelings hurt and being told no is part of life.
YOU however, are an adult. Pal's problem with you is just that, a problem with you. This post of yours is a prime example of why she doesn't want to be around you. Just let it drop.

Clav, not to tell you what to do with your kids or your wife... but if you want to save them such painful emotions, maybe you should delete months old personal messages that they might find hurtful.
This might be taking Paloma's word to heart (please don't feel sorry for me) rather than your "honest and straight forward" version of things, but the only impression I have gotten for months now is that Paloma wants you squelched. As in not talking about the dead horse anymore, no matter what new insights you might have about its colour or breed or the amazing tricks it once did and might do again.
Also as in, not creating new threads to memorialize the dead horse either.

Hmmmm....I try to stay out of things like this but I feel I need to comment on this also.
First of all it is obvious that you want to "start" something by bringing it to the boards since this topic supposedly died months ago. At least it died to everyone else but you.
You know NOTHING of Paloma or how she raises her kids in RL. Have you ever seen her kids? They are some of the most well behaved kids i have ever met. They would NEVER act the way you or your children have in AC.
Like everyone else has said LET the horse go back to being dead. Let it go and stop being a drama queen and bringing up stuff that is old.

Clav, please listen to what people have already said here, they are giving you some good advice. Just let this drop, I remember your post from a while back (which was very similar to this), and the exact same advice was given then. This is now almost becoming an obsession considering that you started this thread out of the blue, especially as Pal seems to be doing her best to avoid these situations (i.e. squelching you, if that's true).

As far as I can see, Pal has always tried to prevent these personal disputes from becoming public, which is more than can be said for you. Understand that most people (that's right, not just Pal, which can already been seen by a fair number of people in this thread) have a problem with the way you deal with things and react to things. Nothing to do with your children.
You're meant to play this game for enjoyment. Behaving like this only ruins the game for you and your children, not to mention the countless other players who are forced to listen to it, and it does you no favours. Let it drop, move on, and enjoy playing the game with your kids.

Yeah, I know....let it go.
I had a friend...a good friend. Someone who I confided things to that few knew.
We came to a point that we disagreed on some issues. Chris? I 100% understood. Our issues went beyond that, however.
I tried to talk to my friend. As I am well aware of the inherent pitfalls in emails/pms I asked my friend to call so we could better communicate. We had discussed issues on the phone before in the past so I didn't see this as being an issue.
The reply I got was short and sweet, and basically it was, "My way or the Highway".
And yes, I posted a very respectful reply when I left. For I had nothing but love for my fellow friend/monarch and guild mates. I understood that in certain aspects my membership was a trial up on them. I also felt that it was time for me to move on in the best interest of everyone concerned.
Yes, Pal has squelched me. I wish she had told me why before doing so. She'd have had to threaten the life of my wife or my kids for me to squelch her.
I have been blundering around trying to figure out what I did that pissed people off so much. No one has been able to come right out and said, YOU DID THIS!!
I have been through a State Police administered lie detector test. One of the questions was, Have you ever told a significant lie to a friend.
My answer, No.
I passed the test with flying colors.
I am hurt, and I am angry. And I 100% apologize for my post. It was a knee jerk reaction to a conversation with someone I had hoped to intervene and perhaps set things right.
I am what I am...flawed.
And I am stressed.
I have Chris 24/7. And as loving as he can be, he can be angry and spiteful.
Actually, it's less of the former and more of the latter.
But, I love him...with all my heart. I'd lay down in front of a bus for him.
I wish everyone here got to spend 10 minutes with him rl.
I wish you got to spend 10 minutes with all my kids, as they are tremendous!
Judge me by what you see, if you want...but, get to know me and judge me by who I am.

What you did is this: see the above two posts. Prime examples.
You aren't getting everyone in the world to agree with you. So you attack, then retract. Going from angry, and disregarded, to poor innocent victim. From miracle working daddy, to stressed out father of difficult children. From Im great!! to pity me.
You may be a good friend to someone, but not to her. To her you are toxic, and she can't deal with your crap anymore. This is a personal issue and you are supposed to be an adult. Stop looking for an audience to clap when you feel you made your point. She doesn't want to play with you anymore. Take you ball and go home, or go find someone else to play with, but leave her alone. Stop posting, stop sending tells, stop harrassing everyone you think may be an avenue to get to her.
And just an FYI, and my opinion only....you aren't the only person with stress in their life. Everyone playing has something going on, and it really pisses me off to see you whine about how stressful it is that you have to deal with your kids problems. There are some that play this game that don't have that luxury. Death, deployment, and other issues make that an impossiblity.

My apologies to everyone else for this, but I've had enough. Stick a fork in it, I'm done. Clav, you could have emailed me, but you chose to go to a place where you know I rarely log in or even go to anymore. Anyone who's played AC for more than a year knows where to find my email address. You wanted people gasping and clucking like the biddies in River City. I loathe drama. Hate it. Will go to the ends of the earth to avoid it, normally. And that rarely works. People asked me for months why I put up with some behavior, and I tried to tell them - booting and squelching won't end it. To those who heard me say that, I get to say this: I told you so.
I have you squelched because, as evinced by this post and as I told you in the last of a LONG series of PMs on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,(considerate timing there) you don't shut up. Ever. You have possibly THE worst case of last-word-itis that I have ever seen and that is saying a lot. You are worse than my youngest and I thought that record would never fall. And you do it to EVERYONE who makes the mistake of listening for even a moment.
YOU DID THIS:
I got tired of temper tantrums. I got tired of endless arguments. Something will be months old and you'll worry it like a dog with a worn out bone. You harangued me for OVER AN HOUR (on multiple accounts and toons) telling me how I'd screwed up on the Prodigal Shadow quest after you died - WHILE I WAS STILL LEADING THE OTHER 17 people who hadn't died. You post on these and the Haven forums NO LESS THAN 3 TIMES in a temper tantrum, then end up apologizing and, often, asking for posts to be deleted or locked. Your mouth (or fingers as the case may be) run before your brain is working - and you leave casualties. Bottom line on a quest (and something I've said for years) - if you don't like the way I lead them - don't go. Lead your own. Or go on someone else's. I got tired of being told how to do what the teller WON'T or CAN'T do. And your behavior in /a that last day about me when I wasn't even on was the last straw.
I got tired of your massive ego and the piss-poor people skills. You have no concept of group dynamics. You don't play with the group for weeks and months, and you walk back in to the room, in a polyester suit and white belt and wonder where the disco went, knock people over with flailing arms, and complain when we don't dance to whatever beat you think you're hearing. You think only YOU exist. And that we all go into stasis when you don't play. You don't and apparently can NOT understand that I have 40 other people at any given time asking me questions, requesting that I do X one way or Y another, asking questions, or just chatting.
You have a life that is rough for you. Others may be able to handle your stressors with no problem. They have their own stressors that you may think are no big deal. You have NO empathy. (Look it up, it's not the same as sympathy.) And not everyone emotionally vomits all over everyone in hearing range. Some people share privately. Some people don't share at all. One of my (many) mottos: Be kinder than you need to - everyone is fighting some sort of battle. Some of the people you walk all over have lost their partners, their home, are worried for their children, their health, their job, or even just the crack in the windshield that they can't afford to fix. Their "little" problems are not little to them. It's not all about you.
You pick and choose what you want to hear. You throw Bug Juice at me constantly. But I dealt with him (and all the corpse droppers - exactly as I dealt with Christopher). And I *never* had an out of family complaint against him, except in PK. And my stance on PK is widely known. Every family has Uncle Jackass or Cousin Snot-nosed Brat and has to deal with them or ignore them. It's what I keep telling people. I deal with most people privately. When I'm left to deal with someone who doesn't listen and whose caregivers are not around to actually "give care," I'm left with a mess. And I didn't do more than mention it to you on those rare occasions when you did log on. It's your job to parent your children. My plate is full. Handle your own plate.
The people who are there with me, day in, day out, tell me that I'm too nice. They also know that I have my limits, and when I hit that line, I'm DONE. That line means I have done all I can do, all I want to do, and I am pretty sure that nothing I can say or do is going to change a damned thing. So, at that point, I have no problem letting it go. I stick a fork in it. You're not the only person who thinks I'm a bitch so get in line with the others. You'll probably have to stand behind Zero.
You're not an innocent bystander, unjustly wronged by the world. Life is hard. Get a damned helmet. This is a game where we all come to unwind. Me included. I am not less than anyone else. And I have done my time as a doormat in a mine field in real life. I'll be damned if I'll pay to do it again. I'm tired of watching out for your mines. I'm tired of being hit by shrapnel when someone else pisses you off. And I'm tired of people who use the word friend as a synonym for toilet. At the end of the day, we're all paying to dine in this restaurant, and we don't HAVE to sit quietly while someone throws dishes every time you don't get to sit at the table you want.
You don't want friends, you want an audience. The rest of us just want to watch the movie, so down in front.

Honestly guy, take the hint. No one has EVER been on your side in this entire debate. Not only do the active players, many of whom have experienced first hand the trouble and drama you bring with you, take her side, even an ex-player like me who (fortunately) didn't have to endure your drama can see just from these posts alone that you're stubbornly refusing to back down over your own inadequacies when it comes to handling volatile situations in a tactful way.
I don't know Pal in real life, but I know enough about her through my time in AC that I can honestly say I would trust her to always do the right thing. Not once has she ever caused me or anyone I know trouble. When it comes to her word against yours, I would take her word a thousand times over just to avoid a trip to the tool shed to get my wheelbarrow to cart your inevitable bullshit around.

I have a daughter that we were told first was autistic, then later that would never get past a 3 yr old level. She's gotten to go to Amsterdam as a swimmer with the Friendship Games and has been Honors/High Honors all through HS.
Yeah, I'm damn proud of her.
And proud of Chris, who won 3rd in his age group on this swim team. He's 9 and many times swam in the 12 and under age group. It was ridiculous to log in to complaints from Pal about his bodies when I have run across as many, if not more, of her bodies in dungeons.

And the fact that so many are getting bent out of shape about a kid leaving bodies, or about what he says, is rather sad. Get over yourselves.

Okay guys and gals, it's time to get serious.
I am neutral in this debate, but all of you posting your rebuttal against Clav is redundant and shows a lack of maturity bumping a thread that shouldn't have more then three posts, all of which made by the respective sides. This is un-needed drama and it shouldn't be happening, you guys are worse then Republicans and Democrats.

Paloma, I'm not being a critic or trying to flame you or anything, but this thread was made because you can't keep your guild members in check. I'm not saying it's your fault, trust me. Having a large guild must be hard to control, and keep in check, but what you don't realize is that trying to keep your guild together is but a fraction of what Clav has to go through on but a DAILY basis. And if you don't want to take care of something, you don't have to log into the game. Clav can't log out of life or log out of his family. He has responsibilities to them, much like a guild leader has a responsibility to sever dramatic situations such like this so that it doesn't happen. This is completely un-neccessary and I am by no means saying it's all your fault. This is just from what I've seen and heard.
I'm not going to write a big fancy essay on what I think and don't and about what happened. I have been on several runs with you, and you are a damned good leader, better then most. But most of your long speech is flawed and could have been said with much, much fewer words (Some words of the said are somewhat hypocritical).
And, on top of that, you have said that you are finished, like you did in your last post, but obviously you weren't and still are not and might never be.

Clav, I do respect what you go through, and you are a damned good player. But I would like to point out that a public forum isn't the place to create such a topic. I do like to keep my conversations a bit neutral paced so I do have to admit your flaws aswell, you are not void from them by having a rough life, none of us are. Guild-mate and friend or not, you still have a responsibility to uphold the values set by the guild and by unspoken law. You may not be able to stop your child from doing something, but as long as he is your child, the players have their right to speech against you and yours. Given to them as a human right by god and (if american) from the constitution itself. You could have easily ignored the situation and thereby ceasing this dramatic topic.

If we had an actual WE mod, this would have been gone before it got to 2 pages, I actually tried twice to become a mod of these boards back about 4-5 years ago, I didn't even get a response saying thank you for applying etc, it just showed that they don't really appreciate the people using these boards and I was glad I wasn't one, as mods seem to quit fairly regularly (probably from mean managers).
